Migle Duncikaite is a visual artist born in Kaunas, Lithuania. She works primarily with sculpture and installation, and also engages with photography and painting. Her practice explores relationships between the human body, material structures, and surrounding environments, drawing on personal experience, place-based narratives, and close observation of natural systems. Duncikaite’s work is process-driven and material-sensitive. Rather than privileging a single medium, she works with a range of materials—including metal, wood, ceramics, plaster, stone, and organic elements—selecting each in response to site, concept, and context. Techniques such as welding are used as tools within a broader sculptural methodology, allowing form to emerge through experimentation, resistance, and physical engagement. Nature, philosophy, and environmental questions play an important role in her practice. References to flora, fauna, geological formations, and agricultural heritage inform her sculptural language and reflect on interconnectedness, care, and resilience within ecological systems. While rooted in personal experience, her works remain open-ended and invite viewers to form their own interpretations, fostering a dialogue between artwork, site, and observer. Duncikaite has been active internationally, presenting her work in exhibitions, festivals, and public programs across Europe and the United States. Alongside her artistic practice, she has also worked as a curator, mentor, and educator
