Foundations Nailbombs (Stuart Cable; Demon's and Cocktails) was a Rhondda based band formed in late 1991 among other Rhondda based bands such as Rich Bitch, Bratt Pack, Alchemy and Mad Dog.

Formed by founder members of earlier band Vanity, the original line up was made up of Mark Donaldson/Donny (Ex-Bratt Pack) Drums, Leon Hughes and Darrel Sampson (Ex-Vanity) Guitars Vocals, Paul Stephens Bass guitar Vocals, and Stuart Cable (Ex- King Catwalk and Tragic Love Company)Lead Vocals.(Original Vocalist Mikey Rees left of his own volition and was replaced by Cable.) This band was to give Stuart his first taste of being part of a band and a thirst for fame that would result in his name being known not just over his native country, but world wide.

Other members would also have chances that led to working with other bands on the U.K. music scene up to the present day.

After just a month spent practicing almost frantically they played a test gig at Pentre labour club as Bottom Bill, with other local bands such as Orange Freestate and Complex Animals to see if they were ready to move on. Which they were.

After recording the E.P. "Raw Sex for Breakfast" at Cardiff's Sound Space Studio's in early 1992, thier first main performance was at the renowned Naval Club in Tonypandy. The club was not only a venue for local talent, but had been stage for many famous British rock bands such as Little Angels, Engine & Dumpy's Rusty Nuts to name but a few, but also bands from across the pond such as Magnum.

Due to a late sound check and a rushed timetable, Guitarist Leon Hughes was involved in a near fatal car accident and unfortunately could not make the show, but Paul Stephens who was in the car at the time, ran the 1 1/2 miles to the club and made the show with minutes to spare before having to forfiet. Sampson took the stage playing both guitar parts.

Around this time Cable was in two minds about vocals and committed to Tragic Love Company/Stereophonics as Drummer, where he was to find fame with friends Kelly Jones and Richard Jones as the first band to be signed by Richard Branson's new record label V2. Cable was replaced by J.J.Cruz, singer of glam rock band Rag Dolls after Sampson refused an offer to replace Mike Dollz on guitar in the Rag Dolls setup.

Along with the replacement of Cable, Paul Stephens left and was replaced by Julian Doyle on Bass guitar. Another show was played at the Naval Club but the band thought Cruz to be lacklustre, after which the band continued with lineup changes including a few with members of other local bands.

One change, was the replacement of original singer Mikey Rees. Another lineup included J. Damzell (Ex-Bratt Pack) and Drummer Darren Gill. Playing Rhondda clubs and venue's throughout the upheaval to try and gain as much exposure as possible after the many lineup changes...... To Be Continued
