iSKATE

iSKATE is "Delhi"-NCR’s first "ice skating" rink and café’ located on the 6th floor of the "Ambience Mall", "Gurgaon".[1]

It is spread over a sprawling 15,000 sq. feet [2] and gives one the opportunity to experience "skating" on real ice. iSKATE is a unique entertainment and leisure "destination" that is set to serve the interests of diverse demographic groups.

This "ice skating" rink was open to public from December 18, 2011 onwards. [3]

While the younger group can use "penguin" aids to walk on the ice, the older group can learn ice skating from a pool of "professional" coaches and trainers. The "rink" can accommodate up to 200 skaters at any given point of time; additionally the viewer’s "gallery" can accommodate in excess of 200 people. [4]

iSKATE aims to promote "ice hockey", "figure skating" and the other "winter sport" in the "national capital region" (NCR).

According to Ice Skating Association of India, the rink is one of the best among the very few "indoor" ice skating rinks in the country.[5] The rink is open 10am-10pm on weekdays and 10am-10.30pm on weekends and holidays. [6] The "penguin"-shaped skating aids for children are really cute and handy, and allow the tots to get on to the ice right away without hanging on to the railings or waiting for an "instructor" to take them for a spin. Besides "skating" on ice, there are multiple options to ensure a fun-filled experience. You could enjoy a game of "broomball", ice "curling", "ice hockey" or opt for "karaoke" sessions at the lounge on the "mezzanine" floor of iSKATE.[8]

There is also a provision for hosting private parties and birthday bashes at the party room, which is furnished to cater to special functions. The ice rink also has a café and a bar where one can choose from an extensive food and beverage menu. [9]

iSKATE has additional plans of opening 10 more similiar rinks across country in 5 Years. [10]
