Robert Muresan ; born 18 September 2009, is a Romanian short track speed skater and long track speed skater. He is a four-time National Champion (2019, 2022, 2023 (both long and short track) ) and a International Cup Winner (2022).
Early life
At the age of 8, Robert started long track speed skating in his hometown Brasov as a hobby. His talent was obvious from his time since elementary school and led Robert's parents to fully support his long track career.
Career
Junior career
Robert's first international competition was in 2021, Zakopane . His breakout moment was at the iTalent Cup 2023 , where he won gold in 500m and 1000m. He also won Gold medal in the 750m TeamSprint.
Robert continued his success at the National Championship in Cluj-Napoca, where he finished first overall after winning gold in 500m, 1000m, and a bronze in 1500m. He was very close In the 500m to break the National Record. (0,10 miliseconds away)
