Neanderthal Joe, Real name Joseph C. Lawlor was born in London Ontario, Canada in 1999 on the 20th of March (22 years old) He is a primitive skills enthusiast with a strong focus on European Neanderthals during the Middle Paleolithic era, Joe has grown an combined total audience of nearly fifteen thousand people. He has received compliments such as "Home grown expert" and "Someone who is a natural in the ways of the Neanderthal man", and he continues to grow while refining his skills.

Joe is the owner/admin of a Neanderthal centered group called Neanderthals and Paleo-Europe, this group has grown nearly ten thousand members of other Neanderthal enthusiasts. He also runs a Youtube channel, Minds page, Instagram page and owns a shop paged called "Neanderthal Joe's Shop". He stared his group Neanderthals and Paleo-Europe all the way back in August 26th 2017 under the name Neanderthal flint knapping. He has had many ups and downs with his main platform (Facebook) but has held strong for nearly ten years, in one post Joe opened with the line 'APES TOGETHER STRONG' to motivate members into inviting their friends and family to "Bite the AI in the ass" this act help his community grow by almost one thousand memebers.

Joe first became interested in prehistory at a very young age when his grandmother aloud him to view Jean M Auel's Clan Of The Cave Bear, this spark an interest in the prehistoric world. This interest however would not be embraced until his late teens (around 2016), when he went to a Pow Wow at the local history museum in London Ontario. He (Joe) would then go on to meet his flintknapping mentor at this Pow Wow and upon meeting his new mentor he would go on to grow interested in many other eras such as Native Americans, Neolithic Europe and many more, before landing in the world of the Neanderthals. Joe has now been recreating the Mousterian and Levallois world for nearly 10 years! He has no formal schooling but has said on public posts and The Neanderthal Minds Podcast link here: https://lnns.co/qb1zVNotcF5 that he will start to look for schooling once the Corona virus pandemic is over.

Neanderthal Joe has mentioned multiple times that the end goal for him would to teach people his primitive skills to people in person, running weekend courses or weeklong courses in his natural environment of Ontario Canada and wishes to branch out further and further from the online world bringing it into the real world and sharing it with new friends and family.
