Jason Williams (born July 6, 1991), better known by the stage name OG Chess is an American rapper from Houston, TX. As unknown to many the "OG" in Chess's name stands for being "original" not an original gangster. As a young rapper Chess is just that. His unique style and delivery is what differentiates him from other artists within the hiphop industry. This in turn has allowed him to build a diverse fan base domestically and abroad reaching as far as France and Tokyo. OG Chess is a rapper, producer and songwriter signed to his own label Foreign Amerika Music Group/Billafam United Records. Staying furiously independent is what has allowed him to remain creative and grow organically as a respected artist in the music industry.

In his early career OG Chess was a former partner of Travis Scott Good Music/Epic. Since then Chess has branched off and worked with other well known and emerging (artists/producers)such as A$AP Ferg, Maxo Kream (Kream Clicc Gang) Cardo (TGOD Producer), RMB Justize (TGOD Producer), Vinny Cha$e and Rockie Fresh (MMG) just to name a few. OG Chess is probably best known for the single "HTX" aka (Harlem to Texas) featuring A$AP Ferg, and is now receiving recognition from his single"LAX" which was recently released on Across all Platforms at the beginning of the year.

During his young career, Chess has managed to accomplish a lot. He has worked with respected artists and has released quality projects that have received positive feedback from fans, respected blogs (The Source, Earmilk, FreeOnSmash, NahRight, 2Dopeboyz) and the like. Since his MTV debut Chess looks to have some promising engagements in the near future. Also be on the look out for his up coming project "Chesstaphor Columbus" which is slated to be released this year.
