General
He (osirisgothra) was into computer sciences and graphics. He was also a private musician. That is, He wrote music but didn't usually publish it - more for personal reasons than public. During his time online, he had self-taught himself many technologies such as C++, Assembler in the early days, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and PHP. He also developed in the early 2000's for Microsoft's MFC (versions 4.2 to 7.1) and was an internalist of the framework. He was working with Nokia's Qt framework from the inside and was as of November 2013, not involved with Windows software. He was also developing applications for KDE, a Linux window manager and has rewritten a fork of DWM, a very simple window manager for X. At the time of these projects, he was acquiring information on groff, troff (a script front end for groff) and the macro packages that they entail. In the coming years He had planned to develop applications for Ubuntu and eventually Wayland, whichever took off first.
Projects
In the late 1990's he hosted a project called "Firecode" which was a OS replacement for MS-DOS. It eventually became a advanced shell for the Windows NT based operating systems, but was superseded by Microsoft's other shell, PowerShell. Firecode has been undergoing a massive transformation into a new project called "GXBase" which is short for the GNU Extension for the Bash and Subset Environment, which was a high-level toolset for the popular bash shell. It was written almost entirely in the POSIX 'sh' language with some bash extensions. Some of the helper components are written in Perl, however. The documentation was provided by the Doxygen code documentation engine, and the configuration and user-level tools are all written in XML The projected date of the first public run was set to be November 2014. The release dates for many of his tools were on a priority basis. He had hoped to have this out along with Ubuntu's 14.04 LTS release. Much of this did not happen due to offline time spent (see 'Offline' below).
