Ariadna Castells (born 17 November 1991) is a Spanish linguist, human, female. She is most famous for her work in the scientific study of human language. Her work encompasses a number of sub-fields. She specializes in the study of language structure (grammar) and the study of meaning (semantics and pragmatics). Castells concerns herself with describing and explaining the nature of human language. Relevant to this are the questions of what is universal to language, how language can vary, and how human beings come to know languages. Castells is a frequent speaker at the Autonomous University of Barcelona
Biography
Early life
Castells claims to have been born in Martorell, Catalonia, Spain in 1991. Credible research, however, has confirmed that she was actually born in Rome, Italy in 1985. She attended "Collegi Sant Josep" [1] until 2007, where she moved on to IES Voltrera. After graduating from high school she immediately enrolled in Autonomous University of Barcelona and is currently studying "English and Spanish". Early in life, Castells wore distinctive white thickly-framed glasses. These would later be replaced by the purple thickly-framed glasses to which Ariadna owes her fame.
Later life
After much soul searching, Castells converted to the Amish faith. Castells replaced her world-renowned glasses with less blasphemic contact lenses and began practicing a strictly technology-free life in Barcelona, which prevented her from contacting her friends in Australia for extended periods of time. She went on a pilgrimage to the United States (Where the Amish lifestyle is widely practiced) and is committed to spending one year in indentured service.
Awards and commendations
When she was like 4 Castells underwent rigorous testing to receive her pen license. Ariadna was awarded the Titanium Star for her outstanding service as a medic in Alien Swarm. Castells won an award for a fictional Christmas story which she titled: 'Untitled' in a display of hipster solidarity. [2]
Personal life
Ariadna likes Minnie Mouse and many of the early Disney cartoons and movies. She has an affection for the color blue. On the 17th of October 2010, Ariadna committed to marry the shade of blue #0000cc [3]
