  • Music, especially 1960's, jazz and pop from 1920's to 1940's, late 70's/early 80's punk, 1980's metal, and contemporary indie rock (and all forgotten musicians in between).
  • Literature, especially WWI to WWII era, Canadian writing (Can Lit), and strange, obscure ephemera.
  • Film, from the begining of time to present. Expect me to link subjects to the 100-plus years of cinema, bringing attention to the largely ignored film category of Subject Matter.
  • Canadian content.
  • Arcane, occult, dark, sinister subjects and personalities.
  • Visual arts, especially painters and illustrators, especially those linked to Paris, New York, Toronto, and Montreal.
  • Brand name histories (because I often wonder where my food comes from, and now have a reason to search for answers).
  • Obscure, totally forgotten thinkers and great/not-so-great ideas in human history.
