Brad Mates

Bradley Lydell Mates (born July 21, 1978) in Grand Prarie, Alberta, Canada is lead singer of country music band Emerson Drive.

Biography He went to a Catholic school and has one sister. His mother worked for Detroit Steel most of her life. In high school, one of his jobs was a road construction worker. Mates married Jana Raymond, formerly from Leeds, Maine, on October 4th, 2008. He's also the brother in law of fellow band member David Pichette. Mates loves the outdoors and enjoys hunting, fishing, and golf.

Music Career Mates entered a talent contest at the local high school in 1995 and met two other musicians named Chris Hartman and Pat Allingham. The three decided to form a band with Dann Binns, Jeff Loberg, Remi Barre, and David Switzer. They practiced in Mates' basement where they entered several singing contestes and in 1996 got the chance to open
