I hope you enjoy editing and expanding the site, and if you do there are some pages that you might find helpful. They're kind of text heavy and probably not that enthralling, but if you skim them you'll get the idea. Personally I've never read any of them all the way through, but just refer to them when I need to. They're fairly common sense guidelines.

• The five pillars of Wikipedia. These are the sort of golden rules for contributing.
• Tutorial. How to go about creating articles and that sort of thing.
• How to edit a page and How to develop articles.
• How to create your first article (using the Article Wizard if you wish).
• Manual of Style. How Wikipedia does things, especially when there's a hundred different ways of writing something.

You are welcome to continue editing articles without logging in, but you might want to consider creating an account. Doing so is totally free, requires no personal information, and provides several benefits. For one thing, if you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead. If you want to discuss the content of pages you can do so on the article's talk page (by clicking on the 'discussion' tab at the top of the page). It's also really useful for others if you sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this automatically inserts your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{helpme}} before the question.

Welcome my boy, welcome! Thought I'd drop you a line to let you know that I spotted that [ little caper] you played on xxxxx. Splendid laugh old boy, but I'm afraid to say that some of the people here might not get the joke, so I've had to revert it. Tell you what old bean, why don't you have a look here to find out a bit more about the kind of stuff that is acceptable on Wikipedia. Hello there old bean. I'm frightfully sorry to intrude here but I thought I'd better just mention that the [ recent edit] you made to xxxxx has been reverted. Awful drag I know, but you see all of us blithering idiots here at Wikipedia suspect that it wasn't a very good addition to the article. We're a bit snobby like that, but you see, when someone says "xxxxx" you might find someone considers it vandalism. Could I possibly impose on you further and ask you not to do it again? There's a good chap. I will let you in on a spiffing secret though, if you want to experiment further I know a rather splendid place called the sandbox. Why not have a look? Once again I'm afraid someone's already corrected your poor grasp of sentence structure, Frightful bore I know, but you see we rather like making this a jolly place and it isn't very sporting when some rotter shows up and doesn't play by the rules. Reminds me of the time I had to fire my groundskeeper for stealing the beetroot from the pantry.
