Magic Max

Magic Max was a great warlord and paranormal investigator on Earth until his 16th birthday when the dark portals opened all around Earth. No one knows why. His brave efforts were noticed by The IDAMT (Inter-Dimensional Alliance of Magic and Technology) and ever since then he’s been traveling the infinite universes in and outside The Vortex and he will continue for all eternity.

The Vortex and Beyond

The Vortex is a megaverse (a collection of universes). It is one of many among the megaverses and lone universes. The vortex is the only megaverse to contain infinite universes. Maggenblak is one of the first 2 universes to completely unite all the planets within its self. They formed The IDAMT and began to conquer other universes. The other is Skridedonya where The Skord was formed. The Skord is another inter-dimensional alliance equal in size to The IDAMT. They are engaged in The Eternal War. Their numbers are infinite because of the many universes they control. Both are highly advanced. Infinite soldiers for a never ending war are constantly fighting. The infinite species are very diverse though. Each universe is completely different. Each universe has a God that is in charge but rarely seen. The Elder is in charge of The Vortex. He is infinitely powerful and makes all things wonderful. The Eternal War is good. It is a wonderful experience for them to fight. And dying in battle is considered an honor and a privilege. There is a peaceful side to them, Including advanced economies, art, entertainment, science, math, and magic which is considered to be the most powerful force in The Vortex and can be used in any way to any extent. There is no limit to how powerful or advanced something can be. Some are so advanced they can count to and easily comprehend numbers large enough to drive any earthling insane. Words like “epic” and “countless” or “astronomical” simply can’t do The Vortex justice. And there are as many mysteries as there are answers. Anything can happen. There are things so abstract they can be disorienting. The Alliance Overseer of The IDAMT is Octinid. The Skord’s Overseer is named Grogrinrog the Izuzimeel. Magic Max is from a universe outside of The Elder’s control. Max was born on a small simple blue planet called Earth but attracted the attention of The Elder and The IDAMT through his epic battles on his planet when the Dark Portals opened and an infinite wave of inter-dimensional creatures from all across the many Megaverses and lone universes came through and attacked Earth.

Mythology

All of the gods are powerful. They created their own unique universes, some even creating several universe and other gods to look over them and assist their creator. But the one simply known as The Elder in The Vortex sacrificed the majority of his power to create The Vortex, A megaverse made up of infinite unique universes that are each infinite by themselves. 1 trillion years later the God of one universe was told by The Elder to unite his universe with divine knowledge and give them the technology and power to create a universe controlled by one faction. From then on it was known as The IDAMT. The God of another powerful Vortexian universe knew they would need a great enemy to fight. So he created The Skord. They are very similar in many ways but Skord and IDAMT can identify each other through magic auras generated by members of a faction. So they began the Eternal war and began conquering other universes within The Vortex. That was incomprehensible eons ago and now each faction controls an incomprehensible number of universes. But even still there are infinite universes not yet explored in the vortex. The Eternal War will continue and there will always be something to fight over.

The difference in each universe

All universes are unique. Some universes are composed of infinite galaxies of stars but some are completely different. One universe is made up of floating islands. Another universe is a large ocean that goes on forever. One of Magic Max’s favorites is a lone universe outside of The Vortex containing a large castle of bizarre magic and unexplainable phenomena. No one knows who is in charge or anything about its origin. The castle takes up infinite cubic parsecs but not the entire universe it self, there are many large windows where visitors can view the orange void. Some universes are more diverse though. Such as the main IDAMT headquarters of Maggenblak where Planet Magic is. Every planet is completely unique and power varies from species to species. Some are almost as powerful as Octinid and some are nowhere near it. And there are many in between. Some species live for only several hours and some until they are killed. Some are born with knowledge and some must acquire it like humans. But that’s just Maggenblak. Just one infinitesimal possibility despite the fact the actual universe goes on forever. So many bizarre mind boggling adventures await you.

The Gods Sidenia and Myurakas

Unknown to most, the canine and feline living in Magic Max’s Earth home of Edmond are more than what they seem. The cat known as Sid is the vessel of Sidenia, God of the catenoids and keeper of Sane’s Whisker. And Murray is the vessel Myurakas, God of food and The Dogians. Myurakas is one of the few who know The Elder but Sidenia is still well known.

Species

LI: The Librarians of The IDAMT (or The LI) are the most intelligent creatures in The Vortex. It is impossible to understand their intelligence and their ways because they are so unique and eccentric. Research done by the rest of The Vortex and Beyond has only bits of clues and theories about them. The greatest Librarians know incomprehensible amounts of knowledge. The amount of information they know could fill countless books.

The Piggen Riders: Bipedal boar-like creatures that ride giant golden dogs bigger than horses. Other than their heads they are muscular brown 7 foot tall humanoids. They wear gray suits of armor and carry a wide assortment of weapons. Most of them prefer shotguns or blunt weapons. Like all soldiers under IDAMT command they also carry their own weapons from their personal armory along with standard issue weaponry.

Kral-Tokians: the Barbarian race of planet Kral-Tok in universe Crigenlak-7. They all use weapons similar to medieval earth weapons with powerful magic spells bound to their equipment.

Argen-Zakian Blue Zombies: Zombies created on planet Argen-Zak from the chemical Y-4767 in the Galaxy of Zrag located inside the Skord capitol universe of Skridedonya. They have bluish gray skin that will dry, rot, and become leathery. They can be killed like a human but they are much more durable. Once when Max was getting ice cream in Edmond on planet Earth, Max shot one 5 times in the head with a .45, once in the heart and fired a shotgun at his head at close range. Y-4767 was derived from necro-crystal 7 discovered on Planet 6088. This particular variety is, of course, just one of many. Arzengloks: These powerful squid like creatures are from a Skord controlled universe simply known as S-98. They usually prefer energy weapons in battle but will occasionally strip enemies of their equipment. They originate from planet Yera-Yok.

Rigen-Shiners: The glowing eyed beasts of planet Rigen in the universe of Boragnium. These creatures are yellow fleshly lumps of tentacles and glowing eyes. They can change shape to a certain degree but they can’t completely morph into something else, change color, or expand much.

Weapons

Weapons are important to the Stories of Magic Max since the key element in the stories is war. Every universe has a vast plethora of weaponry. Magic Swords, giant bone saws, laser machine guns, artillery of epic proportions, plasma bolt sniper rifles, nuclear grenades, acid cluster bombs, bio-weapons of all kinds, magically enhanced super weapons including missiles capable of destroying everything in an entire universe. Magic Max sometimes prefers to use guns from Earth as well. Magic Max has several weapon stashes all across The Vortex.

Space Stations These incredibly massive structures stretch several parsecs across the universes of certain dimensions. They build them all around stars and planets (or whatever the dimension is composed of.) There are a plethora of different species in each station so the architecture and nature of the structure changes drastically from place to place. A sci-fi sea of metal of all colors and blinking lights all over vast fields of computers and machinery flicker, compute, and maintain everything. Trillion of guns pepper the outside structure in one section that is relatively small compared to the rest of the station. One section is made of great stone structures covered in hieroglyphics reminiscent of Lovecraft’s At the Mountains of Madness. They are so bizarre and abstract they cause confusion among some species. They are detailed and life like and depict unbelievably surreal imagery of strange battles fought hundreds of vigintillions (10 to the power of 63) of eons ago. Many strange amorphous creatures can be seen and the structures twist and turn and form castles of bizarre angles and shapes. The color and style alternates from many different kinds of stone, metal, and wood used in the structure. Some take on a warped gothic cathedral or asylum like look. Tentacle covered beasts with claws and teeth slither and stumble into battle with powers gained from The Elder. Those hieroglyphics have caused insanity in some life forms. The structures go on and on changing and warping and causing havoc all around. Some even connect to planets with massive structures of all kinds representing each culture. Some parts of the station mimic other environments for some inhabitants. This installation is called The Maagenblak-7. On Planet 06 which has a city of over 405 quadrillion square miles of city overrun by humanoid zombies. A giant structure connecting this planet to M-7 is mostly blocked of with millions of powerful metal doors, traps, turrets, and soldiers. No one knows where the zombies came from but they turn all humanoid species into stumbling rotting buffoons that can be killed by destroying the brain. The planet was composed of over 500 cultures living together peacefully and advancing in the fields of science quickly. The other several hundred billion miles is ocean.

Dark Portals

The infinite number of Dark Portals that opened in Magic Max’s native universe it froze time and everything stopped except for Max. The Dark Portals are the strangest thing ever encountered by The IDAMT. They lead to eerie hallucinogenic dimensions filled with colors and shapes that can’t exist in other universes. Creatures and structures blink in and out of existence. Time does not pass and they have no history as they reconstruct themselves and instantly change things on a whim. Not even the Librarians of The IDAMT can figure them out. Traveling through one is like being in a dream or taking massive doses of several psychedelics in an unfamiliar environment. They’re almost like cartoons. They invaded Earth and Magic Max fought them and The God of his universe came to him and told him of The Vortex and their interest in him and since then he’s been with The IDAMT going on all kinds of inter-dimensional adventures.

Octinid

Octinid runs The IDAMT. He is infinitely powerful and intelligent. He usually takes form of an 8 foot bipedal muscular creature with sharp claws and a giant squid like head. He has dozens of strong tentacles of various sizes whipping about. He has very sharp teeth and giant red eyes. His power is the power of The Black Hole. He can store infinite matter in his body and high tech backpack attached to his gray and blue suit of ornate armor. He can instantly morph into a giant amorphous creature of any size and shape like The Thing or a Shoggoth but much more powerful. His backpack technology fuses with his body creating robotic limbs, bio-mechanical structures, weaponry, and armor. When it happens his body turns from orange to pitch black and begins forming random shapes with his backpack which by now is a giant mess of technological terror.

Grogrinrog the Izuzimeel and his differences to Octinid

This creature who wears purple and black armor covered in blades and spikes is similar in shape to Octinid but his head is a large bulbous purple mass of razor sharp teeth. His eyes are a swirl of dull colors and gray like a water color painting. Inside his mouth are claw pincers with exoskeletons and tentacles with sharp bone pieces sticking out. He has the same powers as Octinid but remains purple and forms many arthropod-like forms mixed with fleshy tentacles and extensive rows of sharp bony teeth. He also forms many clusters of eyes similar to his own and red tentacles and claws are mixed among his purple form. Octinid does not form arthropod shapes but many mouths, tentacles and red eyes. Grogrinrog’s armor fuses with him like Octinid and expands to a hulking arthropod/amorphous cyborg monster. His machine form is all black and purple sheets of metal bolted together to conceal his intricate infrastructure. Octinid’s machine parts are many shades of blue and gray and many wires, computer chips, flashing lights of all colors, pipes, and miscellaneous other parts can be seen moving about. Other parts are shielded with armor and some with blue force fields that flash when hit. Some parts are durable and left unshielded. Grogrinrog the Izuzimeel is in charge of The Skord and no one knows what the hell Izuzimeel means.

Large numbers

One googol is greater than the number of elementary particles in the known universe, which has been variously estimated from 1079 up to 1081. Since a googolplex is one followed by a googol zeroes, it would not be possible to write down or store a googolplex in decimal notation, even if all the matter in the known universe were converted into paper and ink or disk drives Thinking of this another way, consider printing the digits of a googolplex in unreadable, 1-point font. TeX 1pt font is .3514598mm per digit, which means it would take about 3.5×1096 meters to write in one point font. The known universe is estimated at 7.4×1026 meters in diameter, which means the distance to write the digits would be about 4.7×1069 times the diameter of the known universe. The time it would take to write such a number also renders the task implausible: if a person can write two digits per second, it would take around 1.1×1082 times several billion years to write down a googolplex.

There are numbers much larger than a googolplex that are used as basic astronomical measurements by IDAMT scientists constantly. Usually when Max says”hundreds of googolplexes” it’s probably much more.

Treokian: A number so large it is impossible for humans to come up with an equation equal to it.

Zombies, mutants, and why humans are used for experiments

Humans are the perfect species for experimentation. They have weak immune systems and their biological composition is easy to alter, they can easily be synthesized in large numbers, and they aren’t exactly the most important species in existence.

There are many ways to create zombies and mutants. 1. Parasites: many parasites are capable of taking control of a host and making it into a zombie. 2. Radiation: Radioactive substances can result in the creation of a zombie but will then start to mutate into more and more bizarre creatures. The mutations never stop. They continue until the creature is killed 3. Viruses: The most common zombie virus is Z09. It creates a zombie that can only be killed by destroying the brain. Even after removing several limbs, it’s stomach, and other organs it still lives and hungers for flesh. There are countless other viruses though that can do much more. Some can cause mutations but unlike radiation they can be synthesized to stop at a certain point creating a more stable creature. 4. Chemicals: Certain chemicals can also cause zombies and mutations. Like viruses they can be synthesized to stop mutating a host at a certain point. 5. Magic: When magic is used to reanimate a corpse it will only stop when dismembered and mutilated making it more difficult to kill than other zombies. Magic can also cause severe mutations if not controlled.

When several methods are combined the mutations are astounding. The creature known as The Amorphous is a good example. The creature was created countless eons ago by mixing different chemicals, viruses, and radioactive substances then enhanced with powerful magic. It still exists growing and feeding. A giant mess of tentacles, teeth, eyes, mouths and appendages stretching across Treokians (large number) of galaxies.
