Nicked named “Heath Cliff” by Pernell Whitaker, Michaelson was a force in the division during the early 1990s and mid 1990s. His punching power and persona were enough to intimidate most anyone, and many fighters were defeated before they ever stepped in the ring.

Michaelson is the youngest man in history, with success in Championship Fighting for his time. In doing so, he became the first man to enter multiple weight ranges in a 6 month time and win, granting him sponsorship from multiple mentors by the likes of Parnell ”Sweet Pea Whitaker”

A very spontaneous career came to an abrupt end early 1996 fighting in Chicago and sustained a career ending injury by the hands of Karl Lewis. Later to retire in the spring of 1997.
