My name is Rick Beebe. I live in Santa Rosa, Sonoma County, California. I am a graduate of Wesleyan University and am retired from Bank of America, where I did editorial and media relations work for many years. My interests include backpacking, classical choral music, and the sport of competitive swimming, in which I am involved as an official.

The link I just provided will take you to the home page for the journal for my 600-mile Appalachian Trail section hike in 2002, but there are also links on the left-hand navbar of this page to journals for other hikes I've done, including thru-hikes of the John Muir Trail, Tahoe Rim Trail, Tour du Mont Blanc, the Wonderland Trail in Washington, the South Rim of the Grand Canyon to the North Rim and return, Mt. Kilimanjaro, Mt. Everest Base Camp, the Paine Circuit in Patagonia, the Haute Route between Chamonix, France, and Zermatt, Switzerland, and the Routeburn Track in New Zealand.

I expect to work mostly on pages related to Santa Rosa and to backpacking.
