Randy Rochester is a career Civil Servant for the Government of Bermuda who has worked in a number of Ministries during his 26 years of service.

Career ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Randy Rochester was a former Policy Analyst for the Cabinet Office for the Government of Bermuda, a former Assistant Director of the Public Transportation Board (2003 to 2005) for the Bermuda Government. He then assumed responsibility for the Transport Control Department (TCD) for the Ministry of Tourism and Transport (2005 - 2011). TCD is the Governments regulatory Department for Transport. During this time, Randy was instrumental in implementing the worlds first country wide Electronic Vehicle Registration (EVR) System in 2008. With the EVR now in operation, vehicle owners will no longer be able to drive their motor cars uninsured or unlicensed on the roads of Bermuda. As a Senior Civil Servant for the Government of Bermuda, Randy has also held positions as the Acting Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Energy, Telecommunications and E-Commerce, the Ministry of Culture and Social Rehabilitation, the Ministry of Youth, Families, Sports and Community Development, to his current assignment as the Acting Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Public Works. This Ministry is responsible for Bermuda's public works infrastructure.

Early Years ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ In his early years, Rochester was an active sportsman having represented Bermuda in a number of sports from football as a member of the National Youth Football Squad from 1979 to 1982, a top ranked table tennis player for the country having represented Bermuda in several US Tournaments including the US Open in Detroit Michigan and the World Championships in New Delhi India in 1987. Randy also represented Bermuda in the sport of Badminton in the Caribbean at the Barbados International Open, the Pan Am Championships in Guatemala and several tournaments in the US including the New York and Connecticut Opens. He attained a world ranking of 314 in Badminton.

Community Work ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Randy has also served as a Youth Leader while working at the Centre on Angle Street in Hamilton, a Youth Ambassador for Bermuda being an active member of the Youth to Youth group that encourages youth to "Just Say No" to drugs as well as a former member of the Parents Resource Institute for Drug Education (PRIDE). Randy has served on a number of Boards with the most recent being Tomorrows Voices (TV), that works with kids that have Autism from the age of 3 to 18. Randy joined the Board of Directors in 2009 and serves on a number of sub committees to ensure the objectives of the Board are met.

Randy was educated at the Bermuda College, the City & Guilds Institute in the UK, Reid Kerr College in Scotland and the University of Liverpool in the UK. Randy possesses a Post-Graduate Diploma in Management and a Masters Degree in Business Administration. Randy is a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management and a Member of the Society of Operations Engineers, the Institute of Road Transport Engineers, the Society of Automotive Engineers, the Institute of Motor Industry and the Chartered Management Institute UK.
