BLAENAVON BOWLS CLUB Blaenavon Bowls Club In Torfaen near Pontypool was founded in 1923 at the Miners Welfare Ground. We are a small club of aproximately 22 members but new members are always welcome.At present we play in the first Division of the Monmouthshire Bowling Association League
Our main practice night is on a Tuesday night but members are encouraged to practice any night other than matchnights.After matches or practice we like to socialise at Blaenavon Rugby Club.
The club is affiliated to the Welsh Bowling Association, the Monmouthshire Bowling Association and the Eastern Valley Bowling Association.
GETTING STARTED
To get started all you need is a pair of flat shoes and we will provide you with the rest. Come along in the summer and give it a go. We will always encourage you to learn the game.
Blaenavon Bowls Club is situated in the former Iron and Steel and Mining town of Blaenavon at the top of the Eastern Valley In Torfaen County Borough near Pontypool, Monmouthshire.
LOCATION
The Bowls green was built in the early 1920s at the Miners Welfare Ground which is located at the top of the town near to the demolished Leisure Centre. You can follow the signs for Big Pit Mining Museum.
