Notice of Paid Work Relating to Wikipedia


SaveOurHistory is currently handled by Bob Zeller, a self-employed writer contracted by the Civil War Trust to do a variety of writing assignments and other work, including updating the Civil War Trust Wikipedia entry and other related entries with the latest facts and figures of battlefield land acquisitions.

I have used the Wikipedia account SaveOurHistory strictly in a professional capacity to add factual information to Civil War Trust and related pages. I am paid a flat hourly fee for this and numerous other non-Wikipedia assignments by the Trust and my compensation related to Wikipedia is not based on any performance goals, but strictly intended to update the existing Civil War Trust and Civil War-related pages with the freshest factual information regarding the organization’s latest acquisitions and other initiatives.

I am a writer, historian and journalist who has authored or co-authored 20 books published by seven different publishers in the past 20 years. From 1974 through 1998, I was a newspaper journalist specializing in investigative reporting (1976-1990) and motorsports (1991-98). I have been a self-employed writer since late 1998.
