My Contributions

Though I have indepth knowledge in multiple areas of interest I am sticking to the disscussion area for now as I am still becoming familiar with the wikipedia program and wiki syntax. If, while I am doing research on a topic I find something I can add to the article I add a suggestion in the discussion area and then add the topic to my watchlist and see how my sugestions are received. I feel this is a good way for me to start. I hope my input helps this project.

My Work as a Network Engineer

I started working with computers in 1994 with Windows 3.1x and MS-DOS.

I worked for a small computer builder / reseller in the assembly department and within a month was moved to the repair department.

I worked in repair while I was attending a classes for a certification (public school) as a Network Technician, and ended up working on network install and configuration for that company.

I then moved on to work for a small Telecom/ISP in East Lansing, Michigan and although the pay was low I gained valuable experience, in advanced LAN and WAN implimentation and administration as well as working to help them impliment the first DSL - DSLAM units in the Lansing, Michigan area telephone company central offices.

During the the Dot-com bubble of the late 1990s I worked as a Web Developer/Designer designing graphics and interactive search solutions utilizing PostgreSQL and Perl as the Common Gateway Interface.

Since the buble burst I have worked as a Network Engineer for various companies including small companies and two fortune 500 companies.

I am now self employed starting a multi-media company with a friend.

My Interests

I have a deep interest in history, technology and legal systems in the USA and abroad.
