Sophie Parkin is a synchronised ice-skater from Nottingham, born 1st June 1996. She is the youngest daughter of Sarah Justice and Howard Parkin. As a child she attended Walter Halls primary school in St. Anns, Nottingham. Her first secondary school was Colonel Frank Seely School but in her third year there she moved to West Bridgford.

She has been sychronised ice-skating since 2007 and has been extremely successful so far. Her first teamm, the Maid Marians skated to the song 'Lollipop' and came 4th in their first ever competition. Later, she joined the Silhouettes, a juvenile team, who received silver medals multiple times,including at a competition In Hertogenbosch, Holland. The Maid Marians, later renamed Maid Marions, were replaced by the Rocking Robins. The Robins tookgoldmedals in Dumfries, (Scotland) and Althrichnam too. After moving up to the category, preliminary, Sophie and the Rocking Robins skated to Kevin Rudolf's 'Let it Rock.' More recently, Sophie has been skating at Novice and Intermediate 2 levels. The novice team, the Shadows, competed in the Zagreb Snowflakes Trophy in Croatia on March 3rd 2011. Unortunately, the team came 4th but skated very well. At the end of May 2011, Sophie was asked to try out for Nottingham's highest squad, the junior team the 'Icicles'. The coaches will soon decide which squad members will make the oficial team. At the annual academy presentations on May 27th 2011, sophie was nominated for skater of the year out of hundreds. She should be very proud of her acheivements.

Sophie recently dated a male team member over Facebook, but the relatipoship came to an unfortunate end when she changed her relationship status to'single'.
