Supreo Chanda (born 1962) is an eminent indian Museologist and Conservator. He served as Professor of Museology at University of Calcutta. The wheel chair bound expert is one of the most famed in this field who was formerly mentored by Saroj Ghose.

He was graduated from Surendranath College with honours in Zoology. After that, completed his Master of Science in Museology from University of Calcutta.

  • Personal Life

He is currently wheel chair bound. He was married with another noted Indian Museum Expert Indrani Bhattacharya.

  • Professional Career

He was formerly served in many museums of India and abroad including National Science Centre,New Delhi , National Museum of Natural History , Salar Jung Museum , British Museum , Victoria and Albert Museum etc.

  • Administrative Career

He was formerly served as Vice President of Museum Association of India. He also served as an administrator of ICOM in various key positions.
