Randy Black has more than 40 years of global achievements in corporate and investor communications coupled with outstanding successes in media relations and marketing communications. The Dallas-based writer-photographer has contributed his skills and talents to firms involved in financial services, oil & gas exploration and production, commercial real estate investments, semiconductor manufacturing, insurance, health care, travel and hospitality.

Prior to entering corporate communications, Black worked at the Dallas Times Herald, a 400,000 circulation afternoon daily as a reporter and photographer.

His features and photographs have been published in the New York Times, the Dallas Morning News, the Houston Chronicle, Time Magazine, Russian Life Magazine, Travellady.com, Richardson Life Magazine, AIG Sourcebook and many other publications.

In 2008, Randy Black's Favorite Tales from Siberia (http://www.randyblack.us) was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize in non-fiction literature. While it did not win, "It was my great honor to have my book considered by the Pulitzer Prize Committee," Black said.

Black collected the stories first hand over a two-year period as he lived first in Omsk (Siberia) and later in Moscow.

As a visiting lecturer at the Omsk State Pedagogical University, Black offered classes in American Business English and Free Enterprise Practices throughout 1993. The following year, Black and his Russian-American wife lived in Moscow while Black worked for a small Texas oil & gas exploration firm.

Born and raised in Texas, Randy Black sold his first story and photographs to a major Dallas daily newspaper when he was 16. Since then, his stories and photos have been published around the world. Today, Black is a respected communications, media and investor relations professional and has produced successful marketing campaigns, Web sites, newsletters, annual reports and photographs for firms involved in commercial real estate, oil and gas exploration, insurance, semiconductor manufacturing, travel and hospitality. Additionally, he has lectured on university campuses and to civic and professional groups in the U.S.A., England and Russia.

Since 2000, Black has been an Honorary Fellow within the World Association for International Studies, a select group of scholars interested in international matters, which was founded at Stanford University in 1965.

In 2008, his first novel, Tales from Siberia, competed in the Pulitzer Prize competition. He has been honored by the Associated Press, the Press Club of Dallas, the Austin Headliner’s Club, the Society of American Travel Writers, the United Way, the National Press Photographers Association, the International Television Association and the International Association of Business Communicators.
