We represent the University of Kent and are members of the student bar.

This is the true story of the student bar - uncensored!

The Student Bar is an online community, developed by a student at the university, which currently has over 6,000 members that either study or work at the University of Kent. The website itself is similar to other social networking sites such as Facebook, Faceparty and MySpace. Members are able to provide a profile which can include information about their course of study, personal details and interests as well as upload photos. The mainstay of The Student Bar is the ability to create and join groups for discussion on a range of topics. The Student Bar is now open to students at other universities in the UK.

Members like Adeel are only on it to annoy other students and will soon get their accounts suspended. This is true for 'fake' members such as Mizz Fiona and Anna Z (created on hijacked accounts)

However, there are very important members of The Student Bar, and respected ones, such as Danny Loves Seagulling, Luton, Ian, Keefers, Apollo, Bex, Gray, MJ (one of the baddest members on the site) along with others!

Currently there is a ranking system underway to shot who is most important and highly respected on the website, well actually it's a silly elimination game where friends vote for each other resulting in no true outcome what-so-ever!

Just before the start of the academic year in 2006, two of the greatest members, namely Danny Loves Seagulling and Anthony decided they would tell the members what they loved! They told of what they loved every day for a 4 week period. Things they loved included ham, pegs, string, jelly and glue! All very funny and memorable.

The main discussion board on TSB is the famous Am I Wrong or Right group where it was originally about discussions to do with wrong or right topics but now any subject covered (pc, unpc or just plain spam) in this group. There are also specific groups for certain subjects including Sex, Tea, Football, TV Shows, even Appreciation Groups for certain Student Bar Members (most being female appreciation groups)

Other networking groups are being used increasingly by members of the University. Facebook has gained increased popularity and a number of incidents have takn place prompting action from the univeristy. One particular incidence involved students having all computer login details suspended, as a result of students creating a social group entitled "the little fat man in the library".
