WikiWookie is an alias I'm using because my real name, Mike Young, is a bit too common to be usable as a login. I blame my brother for the idea as he once called me "the Wookie" - something to do with red hair and a beard I think, though the red is getting rather faded these days...

I have now moved from Sydney to the nearby Central Coast, but I still visit Sydney regularly. Being near Sydney Australia, I tend to be mainly interested in local information. This includes things like places, railways, plants, birds and photography. Photography seems to be my main contribution lately - I have a gallery I am gradually expanding on commons, and have added pictures to Wikipedia pages wherever they fitted in.

I also have an interest in old Microcomputers - most of which have unfortunately tended to fade into history, or at least into somewhat obscure niches. I still remember machines like the RCA 1802 Cosmac, the Commodore 64 and the Amiga.

My musical interests where I may be able to have input are Folk and Rock, particularly Australian. I am currently a volunteer member of the committee of Sydney's Bush Music Club.
