"the resident of knowledge is a 'wurstendbinder' " - Dieter Roth

Wurstendbinder is a made-up german word describing a person who's tying the ends of sausages; besides "end-binden" sounds similar to "entbinden", meaning to absolve, to give birth. So why should a butcher be the keeper of wisdom and ken? The better question may be 'why not?'.

About me

As a German native I'm mainly active editing on de.wikipedia. My work covers football (with some nerdy level of focus on German players in MLS), cycling and other sports but also biology and science-related stuff or whatever catches my attention at the time. I also have uploaded a few photos to Wikimedia Commons, planning to add more in the future.
