I live in Makhanda, South Africa, and work as a librarian, information specialist, and genealogist, with a keen interest in ensuring that the digital humanities are equitably expressed and available to all. Through my work at universities, I have been actively involved in the Open Access Movement, and is also working towards establishing and supporting Wikimedia projects as a core structure for use in Open Education. An additional area of focus is to ensure that the Africanisation of content allows for information about and from Africa, specifically Sub-Saharan Africa, is made available.
