Geoff Gray (August 23, 1961 - Born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana) was an American race car driver competing from 1988 to 2007. Geoff began racing go-carts and after a stint in the US Army drove for his father Dick Gray while working with the late Paul Leffler designing building and testing midgets and sprint cars for many big name drivers of the time. While with Leffer Racing, Geoff began driving Formula Vee and before Pauls death had moved on to Formula 2000 and finally to Formula Atlantic with aspirations of ultimately making that "big show" the Indy 500. Back injuries suffered in 1992 and 1996 finally took their toll on Geoff's formula car abilities. In 1997 Geoff began looking toward GT and sports car racing. Despite working with Paul Leffler for many of his formidable years - Geoff considers his friend Mike "Buzz" Fedorcak his "mentor" and the driver who had the greatest influence upon his racing career.

While in New Zealand with Mike Fedorcak in 1996, Geoff happened upon a car for sale in the paddock at Pukekohe on New Years Day and later purchased the car and brought it up north. A relationship with the seller, Gavin Bateman, developed further into a new car the Saker designed by Bruce Turnbull. Along with Gavin Bateman and a new partner, Jim Schofield, Geoff and Jim directed Geoff's race team manager, Tony Vakerics to go to New Zealand to help develop the car to suitable US standards. This was the beginning of Saker Motorsports USA.

Saker Motorsports USA originated with the two principles Geoff Gray from the US and Gavin Bateman of NZ. In 2002 James Schoefield became a partner the Saker Motorsports USA partnership was born. In 2003 the Robarge brothers, John and Chris, of Chevrolet, Corvette GTP fame joined the partnership along with Tony Vakerics the Saker USA team evolved further. The Saker was an innovative cost effective scalable GTP prototype car that could be scaled from novice to professional horsepower ratings with minimal cost using the same drive train package. The idea was innovative but short lived in the US and the Saker company went out of business in 2005/2006.

Geoff retired from racing in 2007 and now lives quietly working in the private sector in south Florida with his wife Leticia and two step daughters.
