I am a Computer Consultant currently living in Fairfax, Virginia. I am originally from New York. I grew up in Westchester, went to college on Long Island and lived in Hoboken and Manhattan after College before moving here to Virginia.

I am currently on a full time contract in the District of Columbia doing mostly Systems and Network Engineering. I enjoy working with computers and technology, so I spend a lot of my free time doing computer related activities too, including several gaming servers and web sites that I maintain.

Skills Summary

I am a Network and Systems Engineer with 11 years of industry experience in the technology field working mostly at large international investment banks. I have a Masters of Science Degree in Computer Science and a Bachelors of Science Degree with a Dual Major in Physics and Mathematics.

My main area of specialty has been with the Windows NT family of Operating Systems. I have worked with NT since 3.1 Beta and I am fully conversant with all aspects of this OS. I also have experience with and am conversant with various flavors of Unix - AIX, Solaris, HPUX - and Linux. I have done both desktop and server engineering in both large and small environments. I have abundant experience with mission critical applications and highly available systems.

I have done extensive project management and I am conversant with the software life-cycle process. I have participated in Business Continuity Planning and testing procedures.

I have solid programming experience in several different languages. I excel at shell scripting and automation of administrative tasks. I can do web design as well as program server side scripting languages.
