Soon Y. Warren AWS, NWS (born Soon Young Chong on July 24, 1960) is an American artist, author, and teacher.

Born in South Korea, Warren moved to Seoul to study as an apprentice artist before moving to the United States in 1987. She graduated with an Associates degree in Commercial Art from Thomas Nelson Community College (TNCC) in Hampton, Virginia. She began a full time career in fine art in Fort Worth, Texas in 1998. <1.> Warren paints two dimensional artwork in all media but primarily in oil and watercolor; in the styles of realism, photorealism, fusion of realism with abstractionism, and impressionism. <2.>


Warren's work has been published in numerous magazines, books, and exhibition catalogues. <1.> Her artwork is in the permanent collections of the National Watercolor Museum </3.>, Springfield Museum of Art, Springfield, Missouri <4.> and the R. W. Norton Gallery Museum, Shreveport, LA which will debut "Pink Peony" by Soon Y. Warren on March 4, 2014 at the museum's special exhibition, American Still Lifes, David J. Wagner, Ph.D., Curator <5.>


Warren is the author of three books: Vibrant flowers in watercolor, 2006, <6.> Painting vibrant watercolors : discover the magic of Light, Color and Contrast, 2009, <7.> and Painting Vibrant Flowers in Watercolor Revised and Expanded, 2014. <8.> In 2013 Warren introduced three instructional DVDs: Top Vibrant Watercolor Techniques with Soon Warren, Vibrant Watercolor Techniques: Painting Glass with Soon Warren, and Vibrant Watercolor Techniques: Painting Water with Soon Warren. <9.>

Warren is represented by three art galleries that sell her artwork in Dallas, Texas; Fort Worth, Texas, and Granbury, Texas. <10.>
