What is standard practice for "composer" credits? Goblin is listed as composer A) in the film, B) by the film's copyright holders, C) in promotional material, D) most online film databases. as stated on the Phenomena talk page, we should follow the rules of the infobox. Which state to that articles info boxes should be respective to the content in the article. As is the case with several European genre productions of the past, their credits are often stated in a way that does not accurately reflect their film, whether its aliases, or fake film staff, etc. I believe listing the artists in the infobox who are composers does not make it clear what the score is. I feel the prose gives a more accurate description of the music score is in the article. Just listing three musicians in the infobox is not so clear. Not everything needs to be included in the infobox if it's not of the benefit of the reader. That's why I suggest leaving it empty is more clear than having a simple infobox entry which can be difficult to interpret accurately. Hope that helps @Robbymuller:. That's TroySchulz (talk · contribs). He mostly edits horror films, cinematographers, and alt-right memes. Most of his edits are either unsourced or poorly sourced, and he's generally incompetent, especially at identifying reliable sources. A lot of his edits are fairly easy to recognize because they add a lot of obviously unreliable sources to horror films. I usually do a mass-rollback on his edits whenever I find a new sock puppet. Hey there, I barely just now saw the UPA topic you brought up on the War of the Gargantuas talk page. I wish you had tagged me in that post because I don't receive notifications about new topics on talk pages unless someone tags me or I manually head to the talk page myself. I would have definitely thrown in my two cents and some sources to bring further validity to the matter. Anyways, since we're here, in the most recent book (released October 2017) on the subject, Ishiro Honda: A Life in Film, from Godzilla to Kurosawa by Steve Ryfle & Ed Godziszewski, it specifically states on page 222 that Saperstein's UPA entered a deal with Toho where they would co-finance 3 sci-fi films: Invasion of Astro-Monster, Frankenstein Conquers the World, and War of the Gargantuas.

On page 231 of that same book, it states that Gargantuas was the 3rd & last of the Toho/UPA collaboration. The next few pages explain that Saperstein was the one who hired Tamblyn, requested specific scenes be filmed for the overseas version, demanded the inclusion of Kipp Hamilton, and the shipment of film/sound negatives. The film was indeed a Toho/UPA co-production given that Saperstein co-financed the film and had some creative input during filming. We should restore the Toho/UPA co-production material since there is now a very recent source that confirms it. The Galbraith IV source is outdated by 10 years and some information in it is either inaccurate or missing. The Honda book outright confirms Gargantuas was indeed a Toho/UPA co-production. Hi Andrzejbanas, would you mind if we changed Category:Hong Kong crime films to Category:Hong Kong crime drama films? Most action comedies are also "crime films" but I think "crime drama films" is the more precise title to go by. Hi, Andrzejbanas. Thanks for your help on the VIVIsectVI page. It's always annoying when you mix-up or lose a citation. Anyway, on the treblezine citation (http://www.treblezine.com/10-essential-industrial-albums/), it says Skinny Puppy doubled down on their electro roots (Ministry was the one to move away). And the list is a '10 essential industrial albums' list, so that leaves us with electro and industrial. I agree it's not ideal, but I think it works while I look for a more direct reference. Hardly any content was removed on Roujin Z; if anything I added content. The only things I removed were some codings that didn't efficiently separate production companies. I understand that including too many countries who produced a film in the lead would be overwhelming but Monster Zero, Frankenstein, and Gargantuas only have two. It's not exactly overkill. The MOS:FILM standards was likely meant for film articles like Lara Croft: Tomb Raider or Dunkirk (2017 film) where they have 5 or more production countries, too bloated to include in the lead. Two seems sensible. For WP:FILMDIST, it states "If there are only two distributors in total (a domestic and foreign) then include both of them". So there is some level of precedent that including two things is not considered overkill. So why can't we extend this precedent for the production countries in the lead? Hey @Armegon:, normally I wouldn't think two is overkill. But its the current standard with [[MOS:FILM]. For distributors, its to not make the infobox and overkill. I think currently what we are doing with multiple production companies in the lead is explaining it in the lead. Like, we can say somewhere that as both countries came in to fund it, its a Japanese and American co-production or whatever. Something like that should work. Great work on the article otherwise! Thanks! But I have found other film articles that seem to also include the two production companies in the lead like Monster Zero did, such as Atlantic City (1980 film), Blade Runner, and Enter the Dragon. The leads for Blade Runner and Enter the Dragon begin with "...is an American-Hong Kong film" etc. I also believe it benefits the articles because Toho's sci-fi films are commonly perceived as Japanese productions. Only three of them were Japanese-American co-productions and it would be essential to illustrate that fact in the first sentence of the lead. Like I said, 2 is not exactly bloating or overkill and WP:FILMDIST allows 2 for its section if only two exists. I think that should also be extended to the lead if only two production companies produced the film and like I stated above, it seems other film articles follow that extension as well. Hi, I know Revenge premiered in 2017 but shouldn't it still be allowed on the list? It was only shown once in 2017 at a festival and not properly released until 2018. I don't know the rules for this? That angelfire thing was just a mistake, I corrected it when someone deleted it & I didn't put it back on the page afterwards. Since I tried to correct it, I couldn't understand why you would jump on the opportunity to have me blocked so quickly? But looking at it from your point of view, I guess you feel that I'm purposely trying to break the reliable source rules, like as if i'm just stupid or trying to be annoying. Since you're so familiar with the wiki rules yourself, you can't understand why they might be confusing to other people, I guess. I just learned something about Rock Madison I never knew.....he didn't exist! Jerry Warren inserted his name into the credits of two of his films, just to make the cast look fuller. I found what I think is a reliable source for this info on a site called horrorpedia.com, but I didn't want to use it until I asked you if it was reliable. In the meantime, I put the external link on the Man Beast page to imdb which neatly explains the whole Rock Madison hoax that Jerry Warren perpetrated. If horrorpedia is ok, I will erase the imdb link and put the horrorpedia ref into the article. But I just don't want to get accused of vandalism if I do it. OK. Try to look at this way. You would start with the "ref" command like you normally do. After that, try typing "<{{cite web|". This will mean you are calling a website. From there, credit the author. For example, say <ref>{{cite web|last=AuthorsLastNameHere|first=AuthorsFirstNameHere|. If there is no credited author, you don't have to write anything. Don't forget the URL, which is the website you found the source. <ref>{{cite web|last=AuthorsLastNameHere|first=AuthorsFirstNameHere||title=Jerry Warren|url=https://www.bfi.org.uk/films-tv-people/4ce2b9f7373cc|. You seem to have already figured out the title part. As for publisher, use the following. <ref>{{cite web|last=AuthorsLastNameHere|first=AuthorsFirstNameHere|url=https://www.bfi.org.uk/films-tv-people/4ce2b9f7373cc|title=Jerry Warren|publisher=[[British Film Institute]]. The publisher is basically what the notable publication or publisher of the site came from. In this case, BFI. If you can wikilink it to an article thats even better. Lastly, you should get a date the article was published if it has one and an accessdate, which is the day you sourced this article from. According to what a mod or admin (I don't know which one) said to me, only the animation studio can be placed in the infobox of an Anime film. Licensor companies cannot be added in, even if you provided a reliable source or not. What I mean by that is that I tried doing the same thing with the Studio Ghibli films (they have other Japanese companies listed in the opening credits) but the pages were all reverted back. So basically, depending on who produced the film in a reliable source is basically fine in the infobox for Anime films, even if the animation studio isn't listed or not. (Sometimes though, some sources will make a small mistake.)

Like, when The Simpsons was outsourced to Korea, it doesn't become a production of their animation department (i.e: its' not a korean production). Just basically follow the sources that are listed as production companies. I can't address specific "what ifs" and "but this!" kind of deals, I can only stick to sources. I'm gonna find some sources for the Studio Ghibli films now, as many of them don't have many companies listed in the opening credits after the Studio Ghibli logo, well unless SJones23 removes them. The thing is that the opening credits depend on the version used, as in the Japanese version of films made between My Neighbors the Yamadas and Ponyo, Disney is credited as "Buena Vista Home Entertainment" in English-translated versions and on the back covers (On my UK Ponyo Blu-Ray, they're credited as "Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment" for some reason considering they use the former name in the translated version of the credits.) It just dawned on me that we never really got a satisfactory answer on what to do with the Studio/Production company in anime films. But I would point out that the Madhouse site seems to list film production companies on the site here rather than listing "Madhouse" as one. It seems that the format we have for sourcing production companies and studios seems to be consistent with how a company like Madhouse would list it. Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II are both listed in the broader horror category, so if you're going to remove the category from the remake I'd suggest removing it from them too.

@37.110.218.43:, it's not so much they I personally feel this way as that doesn't get much sway on wikipedia (personal opinion on genre and soforth), but its more or less that the genres aren't supported by the prose in the article. As for my own opinion, Ghostbusters (and the other films in the series) have their moments of scary/spookiness or whatever, but they aren't really in the same books as other contemporary horror films. Hi Andrzejbanas, this is a bit of an odd question, but I've been looking over the articles for the 1970s Brian Eno albums that you got to GA, and noticed that you were able to get hold of contemporary reviews from the likes of Creem, Crawdaddy!, Circus, etc. I can see that some of these have come from Eric Tamm's biography, but on the Before and After Science article, for example, you've quoted the actual issue of the magazine the review appeared in – were you able to access archives of these magazines? I'm asking because while I know as a Brit where to get hold of UK music magazine archives, it's not so obvious to me where the equivalent US magazine archives can be found, except by paying a fortune to subscribe to the likes of Rock's Back Pages or NaPubCo. Ah, thank you – I do have free access to the articles on RBP, and I know those sometimes include reviews. Thank you for the offer – I'll have a think and see if there are any reviews from the US I'd like to get hold of in the future... I'm working on improving the more significant post-punk/new wave/synthpop albums from 1977 to 1985 (you can see the list on my user page), so any reviews on those albums would be greatly appreciated, particularly Soul Mining, Songs to Remember and If I Should Fall from Grace with God which are the three closest at present to being nominated for GA in the future.

Likewise, if you've ever wondered about reviews from the UK's music press and newspapers, I am a member of the British Library and would be happy to look up anything you need... with the small proviso that I don't live in the UK any more, and visit once a year or every two years, so be prepared to wait. But I'll put those Eno albums on my list, because I think it would be good to get some contemporary reviews from his home country, and you've done a fantastic job on those records. The British Library has almost complete collections of NME, Melody Maker, Q, Mojo and Vox, as well as decent collections of Rolling Stone, Sounds, Let It Rock, Zigzag and Record Mirror, along with Uncut from 1997 to 2000, and the newspapers The Times, Daily Telegraph, The Guardian and The Independent, all of which had weekly music reviews, so there's a high probability of getting a broad spectrum of UK reviews for any record, even from the 1960s and 70s. So in other words, despite that the information about Cosplay Warrior Cutie Knight is not only on his Japanese wiki page, but the Japanese Gamera wiki page, and IMDB (which I don't fully trust either but still), other Japanese blogs that even include pictures showing Gamera in them, going on Amazon Japan and searching for his name and Cosplay Warrior Cutie Knight giving you the DVDs as a result (I don't know if Amazon can be used for a source), and there being a video that actually shows Gamera showing up in the low budget short that I never linked because videos can't be used as a source, you were the only one who was able to see the truth and all the other examples were just vandalization? I dunno, it seems like you just don't want that information there if you won't even include them as a good faith edit at this point after all this evidence, I didn't even say Gamera showed up in them in that last one. Although, I know YouTube videos aren't allowed for a source even if the article is about the YouTube video in question, so I understand that having evidence but it not being in the "correct" place is an issue. Still I think the evidence should rather fall on you to disprove it rather then editing out something you know exists. • Could you also please check Stuart Galbraith IV's book (which seems to be your main source of information) and see if he even mentions a Japanese horror film called in English in Japan Rainbow Man (1949)? This film was released a few months before The Transparent Man Appears (also 1949) and, along with it, is the earliest surviving tokusatsu film known to exist in Japan (all of the others before them have become victims of both time and World War II). Therefore, it's a major film and should be included in this list.

I'm pretty curious about it as I have a few books on Japanese films, especially ones from older fans who liked genre films but have not heard much about this film. Is it possible that you could also find the date of release for The Transparent Man Appears (1949) I think that it was sometime in September of that year, a few months after Rainbow Man, but I'm not sure. By the way, according to August Ragone's book Eiji Tsuburaya: Master of Monsters the English title used in Japan for this film is Enter the Invisible Man. Just thought you'd like to know.

I think that they're official English titles. The title that's in the list is a direct translation of the Japanese title, as far as I know. Maybe you could get in touch with him somehow and ask him. He does has a blog called The Good, the Bad and Godzilla (augustragone.blogspot.com), so maybe you could try there.

By the way, I just thought that I'd tell you that Enter the Invisible Man and The Invisible Man vs. the Human Fly (1957) (which is the English title used in Japan for that film (again, according to Ragone) were not the only invisible man films that Daiei made. There were two other films: one from 1960 called in Japanese Tomei tengu and in English in Japan either The Invisible Demon or The Invisible Braggart (I still don't know which) and one in 1970 called in Japanese Tomei kenshi and in English in Japan The Invisible Swordsman. Hi! I've begun copy-editing your article, Planet Rock (song). It is in general a well-written article, but I wanted to let you know that if you plan on taking it to GA, you're going to want to add a bunch of citations in the lede. I'm not that interested in finding all the citations because that kind of music isn't my jam, but I just wanted to let you know that I think it could easily become a GA after I'm done copy-editing and you add a couple citations in the lede.
