Since sfns need full references, could you provide full citations to Zaloga 2015 and Glantz 2010 in the bibliography section so that the reference is verifiable? Kges1901 (talk) 15:06, 15 October 2016 (UTC)
- Would love too, but don't know how to manage it, however, I have wirtten them on the article's talk page. Regards Dircovic (talk) 15:19, 15 October 2016 (UTC)
IS-2 sources
One source I can recommend is Mikhail Baryatinsky. http://www.paperbackswap.com/Tiazhelyi-Tank-IS-Bariatinsky-Mikhail/book/5699174303/ DMorpheus2 (talk) 12:50, 21 March 2017 (UTC)
- I can't read Russian, is there an English-language edition available?
This site is also quite good IMO. http://tankarchives.blogspot.com/ DMorpheus2 (talk) 12:57, 21 March 2017 (UTC)
- It's indeed a good website and I recommend it, but it is unfortunately self-published, therefore can be challenged and removed at any time. Some of the first-hand reports are also found on russian-battelfield.com, but with a different interpretation. Dircovic (talk) 13:14, 21 March 2017 (UTC)
Dieppe Gallery
With regards to the gallery of images I added to the Dieppe Raid, why do you say inappropriate? Further, I just went through this argument with two other users. My images are historically accurate, further, they were given to me by an Uncle, who was with Army Intelligence during the War.Tomkinsr (talk) 01:33, 30 August 2017 (UTC)
- As I explained on tp, the sample of photographs used in the gallery can be acquired from the Library and Archives Canada website. Although, there are certainly multiple routes on how they appear on wiki. The choice of photographs appears to be selective, either to underpin their propaganda value or to create empathy as noted by fellow wikipedians. However, 2-3 photographs (IIRC) were actually French made, not German. The Library and Archives Canada has a huge photograph database for Dieppe; before, during and after the raid. German prisoners of war
You should have to feel sorry, I make mistakes on Wikipedia. We work together. Cheers--Woogie10w (talk) 13:47, 4 July 2018 (UTC)
