Really? I'm a bit surprised - Q5 says he is Bambifan, who seemed prolific in their disruption. My guy just seems to come back once a year to say something stupid and get blocked. I suppose Q5 could be lying about being Bambifan though. Either that, or he's prolific in disruption but only blesses me with his presence on my talk page every once in a while. Or maybe I'm missing something else? Sergecross73msg me19:51, 7 December 2016 (UTC)
Yeah, while he has occasional outbursts on talk pages, his edits aren't usually vandalism as much as they're just factually incorrect or misinformed. Blocked the first, will keep an eye on the second - doesn't look like him, but they're not good edits coming from it all the same. Sergecross73msg me02:55, 8 December 2016 (UTC)
Blocked. I must say, I've never come across anyone who was so prolific at making misguided edits, getting instantly reverted, and still keeping at it. I mean, he's got close to 2 years worth of editing at this point, and has like a 1% success rate of his edits sticking. It's unreal. Sergecross73msg me21:35, 10 December 2016 (UTC)
For sheer disruptive incompetence, I'd say it's difficult to beat AtlusZ. I know a few LTA vandals who've likely made more edits than me, and I'm in the top 2500 editors by edit count. There was one who specialized in genre warring in the same articles for over six years (indefinite semi-protection was the only thing that stopped him), another that added Liam Neeson to every cartoon ever made (a couple of those got indefinitely semi-protected, too, I think), and one who was doing copy-paste moves for something like a year before he finally gave up (you can see a small snapshot of the drama at The Howling: New Moon Rising (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views)). NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 22:41, 10 December 2016 (UTC)
Wow. Most vandals I've dealt with seem to usually give up after a few weeks or months of getting their work rejected over and over again. Or they adapt so they don't get caught. He hasn't done either. Sergecross73msg me00:06, 11 December 2016 (UTC)
I was on the fence about this one - just because he's never historically made any other accounts that didn't have any combination of "Zachary" or "Atlus" in it, but later edits, like the pointless redirects, were classic Zachary. Someone else indef blocked him instead though. Sergecross73msg me13:27, 20 December 2016 (UTC)
Whoops, it seems you took it to ANI after I didn't respond, so you were the one responsible for getting it taken care of - I didn't need to update you on it haha. Sorry about that. Feel free to prod me if I don't respond to things in a day or two - sometimes when I look into something, and can't decide what to do, I forget about it altogether. That being said, it was a good call going to ANI for a rangeblock, since I still don't have a grasp on doing those... Sergecross73msg me13:31, 20 December 2016 (UTC)
I wonder if @Berean Hunter would be willing to help with some more range blocks. 2A02:C7D:561D:1D00:* appears to be entirely AtlusZachary. The older (but clearly similar) range was 2A02:C7D:564B:D300:*. The lesser used range 2A02:C7D:567A:6900:* appears to all be him. It's always under 2A02:C7D, but shifts slightly on the third node (567A, 564B, 561D). -- ferret (talk) 14:07, 20 December 2016 (UTC)
Found the category of range block willing admins... @KrakatoaKatie has helped with some of the Eik Corell harassers before, maybe she'd be willing to take a look. -- ferret (talk) 14:22, 20 December 2016 (UTC)
Sure, I'll take a look. I can do a /64 rangeblock in my sleep but I'm not familiar with this particular sockmaster. Can you give me the CliffsNotes version? I'm in the middle of a cluster of headaches so my concentration isn't the best, and I'm not quite able to piece it together completely from what's here in this section. Katietalk17:20, 20 December 2016 (UTC)
AtlasZachary is the sockmaster. An apparently younger editor who has been disruptively/incompetently editing for 2-3 years now. Focus is on video games and tv/film articles, typically making poorly sourced edits or using non-standard conventions in regards to who the publisher/developer of a video game, film or show was. He's had at least 10 usernames blocked and dozens of IPs, including a prior range block that Borean helped setup. Typically ignores any efforts to utilize talk page, and the exceptions are typically to use all caps in manners like "DONT EDIT MY PAGE STOP REVERTING ME" -- ferret (talk) 17:30, 20 December 2016 (UTC)
Yeah, that about covers it. Tons and tons of objectively false edits to the creators/developers/publisher/distributors of media like video games, television, and movies, and any efforts to reach out to him to discuss/explain/reprimand is usually 95% silence, 5% random outburst not addressing anything said to him, so we've just resorted to the "block and revert" approach.
He first appeared under IPs, and does a vast majority of his damage through IPs, but the first name we found him editing under was AtlusZachary, so we usually refer to him as Zachary. (Additionally, a Youtube video by a Zachary something-or-other declares Sergecross73 "The Worst Wikipedia User Ever", something I've always assumed to be related to to all this, so that's another reason for the name.) Sergecross73msg me17:54, 20 December 2016 (UTC)
I thought I was the worst Wikipedia user ever. ;-) The individual /64 range, which are almost always one end user, seem to be blocked already. But since he's hopping around pretty regularly, I've blocked 2a02:c7d:5600::/41 for two weeks. A rough comparison would be blocking a couple of groups of IP addresses available to a large corporation – sometimes they're on this subsection of the network, sometimes that one, and this rangeblock gets the whole section. If it resumes from another address, ping me and I'll look again. :-) Katietalk18:10, 20 December 2016 (UTC)
The IPV6 range Katie blocked for us appears to be a French ISP. 31.5x is BT in the UK. Based on his youtube video slamming Serge, I'd say that's another sign. -- ferret (talk) 18:05, 30 December 2016 (UTC)
There is this user named Inorap, I think this user is using different accounts to make disruptive edits to Wikipedia. Here's a example of these edits [1][2]. These IPs goes around vandalized the album ratings template by adding star ratings while the source itself doesn't use a star ratings system. Recently this user has made this edit while the sources doesn't use stars. There are numbers of warnings from other editors about using WP:MOS, but this user ignored it. If you look at these articles, The Sun's Tirade and especially Cilvia Demo, these IP edits look very similar to Inorap's edits. Please take a look at these edits. TheAmazingPeanuts (talk) 20:14, 2 January 2017 (UTC)
Why you guys are ignoring my reports, when I try to tell you guys about these edits are being disruptive to Wikipedia and don't go by the guidelines. I'm getting very annoyed by this. TheAmazingPeanuts (talk) 21:19, 2 January 2017 (UTC)
Are you serious right now? This is my talk page, not a formal noticeboard. I enjoy volunteering my time to help others, but I'm not obligated to drop everything and look into every request right away. I haven't been particularly active today (or this past week), so I don't know why you expected instant results on this. There's also the fact that that I'm unfamiliar with this editor, so it's far more difficult to make an educated call on this one, compared to many if the others I deal with, where I've personally interacted with the editors for months on end.
That out of the way, I can't make a clear call on what you've provided. Yes, they're similar, but many editors obsess and waste time on pointless style edits like this, so I can't really say for sure they're related. Sergecross73msg me04:20, 3 January 2017 (UTC)
I'm saying if you're unhappy with my speed of replying to you (especially if taking longer than an hour irritates you) use a noticeboard like WP:ANI or WP:SPI. Its up to you on how you proceed in this case in particular. Compared to others, I'd say I'd probably fall on the more "easier to convince" side of things when it comes to blocks and page protection. So if I'm not particularly convinced here, I'm not sure how well your case, as it is above, is going to go anywhere elsewhere either. Sergecross73msg me18:08, 3 January 2017 (UTC)
Okay, I go to WP:ANI or WP:SPI next time when I feel there are sockpuppets making disruptive editing in articles. And to be honest, I'm kinda new to this, I never report sockpuppets before in the my time on Wikipedia, so sorry if I come out being impatient to you, I know you're busy with things and don't have the time to reply to anyone when you're busy. So thanks for the tips. TheAmazingPeanuts (talk) 13:29, 3 January 2017 (UTC)
Feel free to delete. At one time I had hoped to make an article out of it, but it never ended up gaining any coverage outside of Sonic fansite circuit. I can't even properly source a sentence in the series article. Sergecross73msg me20:23, 3 January 2017 (UTC)
Unfortunately, it seems the developer later removed all mentions of NX or Switch from their site. It is not currently listed as a supported platform. -- ferret (talk) 13:48, 11 January 2017 (UTC)
Alphabetical Coding for List of Nintendo Switch Games
I just noticed that the letter "Y" shortcut doesn't work when clicked even though the game "Yooka-Laylee" starts with the letter Y, unlike the other game Tank It which has a proper functioning letter T shortcut. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nintendoswitchfan (talk • contribs) 17:12, 11 January 2017 (UTC)
Thanks for pointing it out, and thanks to Ferret for fixing it so fast. I sometime struggle with some of the chart formatting, so it no doubt would have taken me longer... Sergecross73msg me17:40, 11 January 2017 (UTC)
Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove for the Nintendo Switch
A new Nintendo Switch game has just been announced yesterday so it's not on the list yet as it seems. It's "Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove" which is basically a revamped version of the original Shovel Knight.
Yeah, by all means, you're free to comment as much as you want on my talk page, but I am only one person, while there are many people at the talk page of the List of Nintendo Switch games article, so you may get a faster response there. (Especially with the big reveal happening today/tonight - I imagine there will be a lot of people at the article the next few days.) That being said, I think Shovel Knight is already on the list, unless you want the Treasure Trove subtitle added, which seems accurate as far as I can tell. Nintendo Switch Games Exclusivity Breakdown
I just noticed that the total number of games in the breakdown is only 20 which does not match the said 22 confirmed games. I believe the 14 multiplatform games should be equal to 16 since the 2 newly added games are multiplatform based on the color code. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nintendoswitchfan (talk • contribs) 10:55, 12 January 2017 (UTC)
Thanks. Yeah, Nintendoswitchfan, people pretty commonly add/remove entries without updating the numbers, so they do require constant maintenance. Looks like ferret fixed up this one too this time. FYI, once your account is 4 days old and you've made 10 edits, you'll be able to edit the article yourself too. So, pretty soon in your case. Sergecross73msg me13:44, 12 January 2017 (UTC)
Just please be careful and note some of the information I provided on your talk page. Make sure additions you try to make are backed by reliable sources. WP:VG/RS can help you determine some of the video game websites typically seen as reliable. -- ferret (talk) 13:47, 12 January 2017 (UTC)
Sonic Generations Stage List
On the Sonic Generations page, there is a list for all the stages featured in both versions of the game. I removed it because no other games (Mario 64, other Sonic games, etc) have columns that discuss this. It was added back, however, because there was apparently a discussion on the talk page about having the stage list. I understand this, but it feels wrong to have it there because we didn't have stage lists for Mario Maker or Mega Man. Do you have any thoughts? (TheJoebro64 (talk) 20:36, 12 January 2017 (UTC))
Yes, I was involved in that discussion to keep it. Yes, we do try to generally limit the long lists/charts in video game articles on Wikipedia (WP:GAMECRUFT), but a little more leniency is given on the topic in situations like this, when the list is more crucial to fundamentally understanding the game. For example, we don't list of levels in Sonic 3, it means nothing to the reader - its just names. But if you list out the levels in Sonic Generations, the levels mean something, as in its describing which games are being taken to fundamentally create the concept of the game. It is a bit of a judgement call, and you're free to start up a new discussion on it if you, but we do use lists moreso in some situation, like in game compilations (Sonic Mega Collection) or crossover games (Tales of VS, Project X Zone, etc.) where it helps give the reader context on what they're trying to do in the game. I have interacted with drewmutt (talk · contribs) over IRC for some days now. From their questions to me and other editors on IRC, it appears as though they have been more involved in reporting at SPI recently. They have been quite involved in antivandalism work. Let alone the WP:FISHING request of the case filer, I wonder if the suddenly, all-knowing (of Wikipedia's policies and practices) IP editor is the sock of someone drewmutt reported. @GoodDay: Pinging per your comment at ANI earlier. --JustBerry (talk) 02:31, 13 January 2017 (UTC)
Indeed, I was wondering as to how an IP (which started editing the 'pedia last month) somehow acquired such knowledge of the 'pedia. GoodDay (talk) 02:34, 13 January 2017 (UTC)
Yeah, could be. I noticed the IP has already been blocked once recently for bothering Jimmy Wales himself, so it could also just be a general disruptive editor too... Sergecross73msg me02:42, 13 January 2017 (UTC)
(edit conflict) I checked 206.255.40.* for related IP editors. No relation found yet, and it's probable that new IPs assigned to that specific editor are much beyond that IP range. Will do more digging. --JustBerry (talk) 02:46, 13 January 2017 (UTC)
Alright, well, they've stopped for about 24 hours at least. Feel free to contact me if you see the IP causing disruption elsewhere. Thanks. Sergecross73msg me16:16, 13 January 2017 (UTC)
I still don't really think one is necessary, especially with such a well written Xeno (series) article. I mean, I could barely squeeze the XB2 article out of stub status. I still think we should wait longer - either once XB2 is out, or has received a lot of detailed info leading up to its release. Sergecross73msg me15:37, 14 January 2017 (UTC)
Yes, I helped trim and reword Results May Vary a few months back. I can try to look into Spit sometime, though I'm not really familiar with the band or the album. I mean, I've heard of Kittie, just never really heard much of their stuff. Sergecross73msg me21:05, 17 January 2017 (UTC)
On Lin Lee
Hello, Serge. I trust you're doing well.
Thank you for your work on the Lin Lee article, though I'd be remiss not to say a lot of the article is misinformed. A lot of the purported changes are not reflected in the final game and they are based on incorrect reports from before the game was released. Here are some points, in particular:
The player's ability to equip her in more revealing outfits (the more risque outfits were altered, not restricted altogether.)
The quote that the "few remaining qualities that both the Eastern and Western version of Lin share are her facial features and hairstyle" (Lin's appearance in everything save the aforementioned outfits is completely identical between the Eastern and Western versions, including her default outfit that is featured in the infobox.)
I am working on another change to the article right now. I'm aware you're far more interested in the discussion surrounding her censorship than the actual final game, but if I recall correctly Wikipedia must maintain neutrality in this aspect. --DonnaclusX (talk) 18:43, 18 January 2017 (UTC)
Hi DonnaclusX. I'm just reporting on what sources said. That's the number one rule of Wikipedia. Feel free to tweak while still remaining faithful to the sources present, or adding what you can verify with new reliable sources. Perhaps some of the game reviews have more content on the final versions? I've played the game, but I just put Lin in a T-shirt and jeans for the whole game, so I don't personally know the limits of what could be done or what was restricted. I don't really even have any interest in the whole "video game censorship debate" honestly, I just put it in the article because it was the only way to get the character to meet Wikipedia's notability requirements. Its a major part of what sources discussed about her in her dedicated coverage.
Fair enough! The deal is though, these sources that imply Lin's outfit have radically changed are misinformed. I guess I'll add a citation needed to my edit regarding this matter since I unfortunately do not have any sources to the contrary but comparisons between the two final products that I have carried out myself. --DonnaclusX (talk) 19:27, 18 January 2017 (UTC)
We're getting there. We can't cite Neogaf (or any messageboard) due to WP:USERG but I'm pretty sure one of the sources mentions the same content, so I'll fix that. There were a couple other sourcing things I need to alter, but overall its good. I appreciate the addition of her JP VA with a ref too, thanks. Sergecross73msg me
Perhaps you could review my constructive work at List of music considered the worst, and look into why I'm being accused of an "abuser". I'm trying to help the article, and because one person decides I'm a troll, another has jumped on board with an anti-IP agenda. Also, why isn't Marianna251 being blocked for 3RR violation as well? 82.221.133.88 (talk) 19:16, 19 January 2017 (UTC)
Simply put, that article is one of his favorites. His socks keep coming back to it, so I added it to my watchlist. I know that lately the IP's he uses to evade blocks geolocate to Iceland (here's another recent example: Special:Contributions/82.221.133.62), and when I saw those edit summaries complaining about WP:OWN, accusing me of trolling, etc. I knew that it was him. Sro23 (talk) 19:31, 19 January 2017 (UTC)
I don't believe it is a usable source on Wikipedia. There's two issues present.
Its probably not likely to meet our reliable source concept - it appears to be a fansite website about hacking. These websites run by enthusiasts/fans generally don't have any qualifications as journalist/writers, don't have editorial oversight or policies, etc.
There's additional issues in the capacity that the website directly links to hacked games, which range from "lega gray area" to "straight up illegal" in their substance, causing a WP:COPYVIO issue. Basically, you don't want to link to any websites hosting potentially illegal content. It's still okay to discuss, and use sources like Kotaku or IGN, because they don't even actually host or offer the content for download, they just talk about it. But directly linking to it would be bad. Sergecross73msg me17:18, 24 January 2017 (UTC)
Yeah, there shouldn't be any legal issues with anything that is authorized, though I'd try to use Steam pages sparingly. Some interpret that as a form of promotion because you're essentially providing a direct link to being able to purchase the game. Sergecross73msg me17:45, 24 January 2017 (UTC)
Yggdra Union
Hi there, I have a query regarding the naming convention of the video game, Yggdra Union. You see, the full title of the video game is released, distributed and published as Yggdra Union: We'll Never Fight Alone, however, User:Czar argues that the name Yggdra Union should be used because of per subtitle naming convention and WP:CRITERIA, was he correct to do that? Iftekharahmed96 (talk) 22:48, 25 January 2017 (UTC)
Yeah, in a technical sense, Czar is right. It's so poorly enforced that it's no surprise you didn't know about it. I honestly forget sometimes myself, with how frequently I see it done both ways. I don't personally change them unless their ludicrously long - like some of the Dragon Quest games, like Dragon Quest Swords. Sergecross73msg me23:36, 25 January 2017 (UTC)
Yeah, we're generally not bound by any sort of legal documentation when it comes to naming - across the entire website, we're supposed to adhere to WP:COMMONNAME. But it is confusing with how we handle subtitles - partially because its so poorly enforced, and partially because, much of the time, the subtitle is required due to following WP:PRECISION as well. I mean, for example, the article I'm working on at the moment - Super Monkey Ball: Banana Splitz - we need the subtitle in this instance, because otherwise there'd be a ton of Monkey Ball games with the same name and extraneous disambiguation added on. Luke's article
Are you interested in nominating Luke's article to GA? I say it because now I'm busy with s-CRY-ed's nomination to GA and I am planning to start a peer review with D.Gray-man. Feel free to nominate Luke if you want. Regards.Tintor2 (talk) 16:56, 28 January 2017 (UTC)
I fully support the article, and will continue to argue for its existence should it be nominated for merger/deletion, but that's just it - it seems like GA noms for articles like this seem to grab the attention of the editors obsessed with merging back fictional character articles, reigniting all those discussions again. I personally think it'd be better off as a B class article that exists over a GA-reviewed redirect. But that's just my two cents, which makes sense, since I don't really deal with the GA process much. Feel free to do what you want, I'll support whatever you feel is the best direction for the article. Sergecross73msg me01:49, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
Thanks for moving it. Also, this user I've come across makes one of these pages [at least] once a day. Gel gel aman - and they're all seemingly non-notable. I'm confused about them to be honest. what do you think? --Jennica✿ / talk05:14, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
No problem. It's easy for me or Ferret to move them for you if you need help with it - it's pretty much just an extra click of a button after we check to confirm that there's no actual article at the new name. As for Gel Gel Aman, yeah I have no idea. Sure is poorly written and sourced. But sometimes there is sourcing out there that people can surprisingly scrounge up. Not that I can tell if it's likely here - I don't know anything of foreign folk music (or whatever this is.) Sergecross73msg me05:25, 29 January 2017 (UTC)

What put me over the edge last time was a few edits that were clearly fake, but many of them, then and now, seem more like they could be good faith mistakes. Heads up to ferret, Dissident93, The1337gamer and any other (talk page stalker) - after looking into an ANI case I was pinged to, it looks like ol' ZacharyAtlus is back, and probably has been for a few months by looking over things. Not sure if we havent seen him because he doesn't seem to be active in video game articles as much anymore (hes been more into TV/film stuff, which was his secondary area), or if you guys got tired of dealing with him, (I wouldn't blame you) but if you see him, let me know, and I'll look into it. Not directly vandalism, but user Virtuous.Gizzard (talk · contribs) has become disruptive and a bit WP:UNCIVIL by spamming my talk page for the last few days regarding what he thinks to be unverifiable information related to the PC port of Death Stranding. It would be appreciated if you could comment yourself on the article's talk page and give your own opinions and perhaps a warning, as he has not listened to me nor Czar, who also agrees that the info should remain on the article. ~ Dissident93(talk)05:27, 23 December 2016 (UTC)
I gave my two cents on it - hopefully that helps. Let me know if I've got the situation wrong - I'm not particularly following developments on that game. The other editor seems to have since apologized about all the talk page comments and said he'll stop, so hopefully that part is all taken care of. Sergecross73msg me15:01, 23 December 2016 (UTC)
Yeah, I've stumbled across a few, maybe even deleted one or two. I've deleted that last one on the grounds of being a hoax, but the rest of them I'm unsure of what to do, since they are at least rooted in RS reported rumors or tech demos. I don't know if I have grounds to delete drafts of that sort of thing. (Legit question - would appreciate input from (talk page stalker) on it.) That being said, they're all pretty short and pointless, and are pretty unlikely to ever to result in an article. (I mean, if Mario Switch was announced next week, I wouldn't use their Garbage draft, I'd start my own from scratch... Sergecross73msg me22:40, 4 January 2017 (UTC)
I don't expect them to be mainspaced of course. They're pretty bad and not much of a problem in draftspace. But I think deleting them might dissaude this editor from creating more rubbish drafts and repeatdly adding them to mainspace categories like here: [6], [7]. I think they could be deleted per WP:G5, since based on their activity they are definitely the Macy VG IP vandal. --The1337gamer (talk) 22:51, 4 January 2017 (UTC)
91.113.40.147 (talk·contribs) and Opothe3 (talk·contribs) are Tripple-dd socks. IP editor has same geolocation info as previous socks. In this edit the IP editor called out Iftekharahmed96 about Sega's name: [8]. Then he reverted it probably because he realised his IPs always get caught. But then he reposted the same discussion under new account Opothe3: [9]. --The1337gamer (talk) 20:18, 15 January 2017 (UTC)
Considering the advanced table syntax involved there, I'd be hard pressed to call this deliberate disruptiveness. I suspect the IP is making a good faith effort. -- ferret (talk) 19:40, 24 January 2017 (UTC)

You have completely ignored Wikipedia:Standard offer every time it has been brought up by continuing to evade your block. You're not willing to wait 6 months at all. You'll be back next week on a new account or IP address and you'll probably get caught again. Pathetic. --The1337gamer (talk) 20:30, 26 January 2017 (UTC)
