About Dora and the Search for Sol Dorado

I don't care what I say, but this film is announced to be produced for television. So I call it a "Nickelodeon Original Film". Just stop the edit war. Okay? Be reliable next time. Akhil K. (talk) 20:43, 23 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

You be reliable. A Facebook post is not a reliable source. Besides, the film is coming out on Paramount+ first, so it is technically not a "Nickelodeon Original Film." SomeAnotherCastaway (talk) 02:40, 24 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
How about coming to Nickelodeon first, then Paramount+. Here's the source: https://deadline.com/2025/05/dora-and-the-search-for-sol-dorado-streaming-premiere-date-1236405074/. Akhil K. (talk) 16:46, 24 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
Then it would premiere on Paramount+ first. SomeAnotherCastaway (talk) 17:09, 24 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
But still counts as an original film because it also says, "Nickelodeon" and according the article the quote says, "Dora and the Search for Sol Dorado, the latest live-action movie in kids franchise Dora the Explorer, is set to premiere on Paramount+ and Nickelodeon in the U.S. on Wednesday, July 2." Akhil K. (talk) 21:43, 24 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
Well, Good Burger 2 was a Nickelodeon original film, and that uses Nickelodeon Movies. Same with A Really Haunted Loud House. No Time to Spy. The list goes on and on. So keep it as Nickelodeon Movies. SomeAnotherCastaway (talk) 21:50, 24 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
Good Burger 2 is not an original film, but A Really Haunted Loud House and No Time to Spy are. Including other films that are produced for television, if simulcast on Paramount+. Akhil K. (talk) 21:57, 24 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
The point remains. They all used the Nickelodeon Movies logo. That is why it shall remain up. SomeAnotherCastaway (talk) 01:59, 25 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

Plot summary

Lemme explain:

We need a plot summary for the movie. I put that there so that way editors will be encouraged to write a plot summary for the movie. Because frankly, a premise isn't enough. The majority of movies on Wikipedia have plot summaries. HiGuys69420 (talk) 03:56, 22 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

I understand that we need a plot summary. But we don't add that if it's listed under the premise tab. Someone will add a plot eventually.SomeAnotherCastaway (talk) 04:55, 22 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

heads-up!!

the list of pokémon anime characters was actually redirected over this discussion in afd, so that blar wasn't vandalism. thus, to reinstate or recreate it, you'd need to at least address the issues there. at least in my current view, that'd involve finding any sources to establish notability for the cast in general... at all, really consarn (grave) (obituary) 20:38, 10 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

Edit summaries

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that one or more recent edits you made did not have an edit summary. Collaboration among editors is fundamental to Wikipedia, and every edit should be explained by a clear edit summary, or by discussion on the talk page. Please use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit and/or to describe what it changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.

The edit summary field looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

or in the visual editor:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
Describe what you changed

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. When logged in to your Wikipedia account, you can give yourself a reminder by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary (or the default undo summary), and then click the "Save" button. Concern of FNAF 2 movie BO receipt

We do round the box office total up or down, yes. But that's only for the lead paragraph. We don't round it up or down in the infobox. Multiplivision (talk) 02:42, 7 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

Inconsistent gross figures are just not constructive. Also, according to MOS:LARGENUM: "Avoid using approximately, about, and similar terms with figures that have merely been approximated or rounded in a normal and expected way" SomeAnotherCastaway (talk) 03:07, 7 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
It doesn't work that way. We only round if it's over or under 5 in decimals. Multiplivision (talk) 16:14, 8 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
Dude, there are decimals. Why do you think I'm rounding up and down? SomeAnotherCastaway (talk) 16:16, 8 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
You're literally rounding The Bad Guys 2's gross to the nearest whole number (in this case, $240 million), when their worldwide gross is $239.2 million. You're not rounding it up properly. Multiplivision (talk) 16:17, 8 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
I'm only rounding it up because the amount grown both domestically and internationally are above 5 in the decimal range. SomeAnotherCastaway (talk) 16:18, 8 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
It does not work that way. Multiplivision (talk) 16:19, 8 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
How? How does it not work that way? SomeAnotherCastaway (talk) 16:19, 8 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
The worldwide gross for The Bad Guys 2, as of today, is $239,193,810. As per rounding to the nearest number, we round it up to $239.2 million. We don't near it to $240 million. I don't care if the domestic and international grosses round to the nearest number.
This is how it is supposed to be done:
$82,593,605 (domestic) → $82.6 million (rounding to nearest decimal, being 6)
$156,600,205 (international) → $156.6 million (stays the same because there are no numbers exceeding)
$239,193,810 (worldwide) → $239.2 million (rounding to nearest decimal, being 2) Multiplivision (talk) 16:23, 8 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
In addition, per the lead paragraph, we round it to the nearest whole number, with it being $239 million flat. Multiplivision (talk) 16:23, 8 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

Zootopia 2

Do you have updated sources for the box office? The referenced cites in the text and infobox both link to the $992M figure. LizardJr8 (talk) 00:37, 14 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

MikeAllen's edit

Why did you undo MikeAllen's edit? He said specifically "too soon no reviews are even discussed in article". Also, how come you put "negative" reviews on Scream 7 when Scream 3 received a similar RT score and is credited as having "mixed" reviews? NarutoSan6000 (talk) 21:38, 26 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

As they usually do. It's borderline disruptive. Mike Allen 22:06, 26 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
How is it too soon to add that the film received negative reviews?
Also, the reason why Scream 3 is mixed and Scream 7 is negative is because of their Metacritic scores, which label them as mixed or negative. 3 has a 56, meaning mixed, while 7 has a 39, meaning negative. SomeAnotherCastaway (talk) 22:18, 26 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
oh so we just go by the Metacritic consensus in the lead? that should be clarified then. Mike Allen 22:48, 26 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
I mean, that was my thought. I always thought that's how it went, unless I'm misremembering something. SomeAnotherCastaway (talk) 01:00, 27 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
Okay, can you put "on metacritic" next to your edit then? That's how you clarify something. Also when you reverted Mike's edit you again forgot to use an edit summary. NarutoSan6000 (talk) 01:36, 27 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
That's my bad. I keep doing that. I did put that it was per Metacritic in the arrow. SomeAnotherCastaway (talk) 01:43, 27 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
Fair enough. NarutoSan6000 (talk) 01:43, 27 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

March 2026

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to change the title of a page by cutting its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Flowervale Street. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Project Hail Mary box office

Frankly, I don't care about this because it's going to blow past $170 million worldwide anyway, but... why did you change this back to $170 million when the citation it is using doesn't show that? Further, look at this; shows $168 million. --Hammersoft (talk) 02:11, 28 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

That's Box Office Mojo. Did you check here? SomeAnotherCastaway (talk) 02:15, 28 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
No, because at the time that cite hadn't been provided, and the one that was was not in congruence with the provided figures. --Hammersoft (talk) 03:49, 28 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
Well, usually we have two sources, The Numbers and Box Office Mojo. Numbers updates daily, while idk BOM's update schedule. SomeAnotherCastaway (talk) 04:56, 28 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

The Angry Birds Movie 3

What I meant by "unsourced" was that the citation did not support your removal of production companies, which were all mentioned in the source cited, and addition of John Cohen Productions (which I don't think even exists). Signed, SleepyRedHair. (talk - contribs) 16:30, 29 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

I thought every company that's listed under "in association with" only helped out with finances and didn't help make the movie at all. Is that not right? SomeAnotherCastaway (talk) 16:35, 29 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Yes, that is true, but that's not the case in this scenario. The source in question is DNEG's page for the film, which listed all of the companies as "production companies" and mentions nothing about financers. Signed, SleepyRedHair. (talk - contribs) 16:40, 29 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
That's the thing. What if that website considers financiers production companies by accident? Who's to say that they are actually right in this scenario and not Paramount? SomeAnotherCastaway (talk) 16:56, 29 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
That's a good point. Maybe the production companies should be based on multiple sources rather than just one. I'll have a look and try something. Signed, SleepyRedHair. (talk - contribs) 17:34, 29 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, that would be preferred, if Paramount's website isn't proof enough SomeAnotherCastaway (talk) 18:07, 29 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Edit has been done. I've only just now noticed that "in association with" was explicitly said in the article despite me having worked on this article since it was a draft in 2024. That's my bad, lol. Signed, SleepyRedHair. (talk - contribs) 18:10, 29 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
