The Pune Campus Program, started in June 2011, is part of the Wikimedia Foundation's Global Education Program. The goal of the Global Education Program is to engage students and professors across disciplines, universities, and countries in using Wikipedia as a teaching tool.

Introduction
Pune is selected as first place to run Wikipedia's Global Education Program. Its first pilot project, and soon it will be launched in other cities as well as countries.
By watching these video's you can experience "How first pilot project is going on in Pune". Also another aim of videos is to create memory of program, so it will be helpful to next generations.
Bishakha Datta (Trustee,Wikimedia Foundation)
Bishakha Datta is an Indian journalist and film-maker, best known for her work documenting the role of women in different aspects of Indian society. She also supports or serves on the board of directors of several nonprofit organizations, including Point of View, Creating Resources for Empowerment in Action, and the Wikimedia Foundation(Parent Organization of Wikipedia)
On 26th September 2011, Bishakha Datta was in Pune for Special Workshop at Pune University. She had arranged special Wikipedia Introductory Session for Participants of Workshop. She was impressed with Campus Ambassador's Presentation skills and overall update.
