Petits Propos Culinaires is a food history journal that very few institutions have access to, making RX ill-equipped for handling requests. I am looking to get a years subscription, as I write across food and individual articles are insufficient. There is no real search functionality offered by PPC without a subscription, so I can't make out the extent to which I would be able to write and expand articles, but I can list some examples I am confident in.

Writing an article on Joseph Cooper will require consulting PPC's article, I am looking to get manus Christi to GA should involve reviewing Confectionery Recipes from a Fifteenth-Century Manuscript, upcoming work on Australian cuisine will be much aided by access to The Bland or the Bountiful? Notes on Australian Dining Between the Wars, Edmund Mason, Mrs Irving and the First Australian Cookery Book, When Temperance Met Commerce, and Emergence of Modern Food Culture in Australia (1788–c.1950), recent work on sachertorte was hindered by lack of access to The Viennese Cuisine before Hitler – ‘One Cuisine in the Use of Two Nations’. The main priorities would be to develop Palestinian Airlines and also Palestine Airways, but I've also identified other potential articles in which this book could be useful, including Yasser Arafat International Airport. GGOTCC

I would use the book to cross-reference and add additional information regarding T-1, T-2, and T-3 tankers on the English Wikipedia, primarily by creating articles for the hundreds of oil tankers (civilian and military) that have yet to be included. Based on the detail in the book, I may also use it to create articles on each design of tanker as well. May I also request The Liberty Ships From A (A.B. Hammond) to Z (Zona Gale), also by Walter W. Jaffee, if that is possible? Of the 2,710 liberty ships, a lot of them are redlinked or poorly documented on wiki. This book has a lot of rare information about the service history of each ship which none of my other sources cover. There are several ships I already want to nominate for DYK, but would need additional information from this book to do so (for instance, the final fates of various ships or details about their history before they sank).
I initially held off on requesting the book, but learned that the resource support pilot is my best option as my college library focuses on purchasing newly published books and there is no online/library copies accessible. Thank you! GGOTCC 22:19, 4 August 2026 (UTC)reply

Hey Rae! I looked a little as well, but I only found retailers that ship to Japan (Yodobashi, Amazon). I'm going to talk to a couple people who live in Japan to see if they'd be willing to receive the book and send it across the water to me (at my expense).
