From the Editors

This first edition of the newsletter is going out to all the project participants. To ensure that you receive the subsequent editions, please add your name to the subscriber list.

The newsletter will publish new collaboration requests every month. If there are a large number of requests, only the most recent requests will be published.

This newsletter will now be delivered every month.

We're looking for new writers to help write this newsletter. All those who wish to help must do is add news to next months newsletter before release

Pages prone to POV pushing, vandalism, or that otherwise need watching

Specific articles which have a tendency to require watching include:

  • Atacama Desert - always subject to petty vandalism
  • Chile - always subject to petty vandalism
  • Chilean people - always subject to petty vandalism and POV pushes
  • Patagonia - disputes about of amount covering of Chilean and Argentine Patagonia may arise
  • Pisco sour - on-going disputes over its origin

Specific requests for improvement

  • Chilean wine - copyedit, expand, -- these texts read like 1999 and the industry has grown in leaps and bounds since then. How does one sign up to help? Is this project still active?
  • Santiago, Chile - correct poor English; pick British or American English and apply to article with consistency
  • Chile-Barnstars (Note: The official barnstars and templates should be chosen by voting of the members.)
  • Put inline citation to: Valdivia, Chile so that it meet the Good Article criteria
  • Cono Sur Vineyards & Winery - tagged as having a promotional tone
