1. The Board voted unanimously to elect Florence Devouard (Anthere) as the Chair of the Board, Tim Shell as Vice-Chair, Erik Möller as Executive Secretary, and Michael Davis as Treasurer. Jimmy Wales assumes the title of Chairman Emeritus of the Foundation.

comScore Networks, a leader in measuring the digital age, today reported the latest worldwide ranking of top Web properties, ranked by unique visitors. Of note were the gains experienced by Wikipedia Sites and Youtube.com during September. Both sites were up 12 percent versus August.

5. Wikipedia's use by school students is becoming well-recognised, as explained by Montgomery Blair High School's paper Silver Chips Online, in an article entitled Turned off by other resources, Blazers turn to Wikipedia.

6. The Wikimania 2007 wiki has been created, in preparation for next year's gathering in Taipei.
