The station is now no longer referring to itself as 98five, and instead going by Sonshine (98.5FM). I'll take that as a no. Why? I believe it would be a good idea to (generally) separate technical and programming-based history just as Wikipedia articles for television stations do. For radio stations operating in hybrid digital mode, it would be helpful to have a chart for the subchannels and anything pertaining to them would be separate from the main body of the page. We do have something like that. It's in the infobox, WCDW is a perfect example of this. Information on HD subchannels usually belongs in |subchannels= in the infobox. An HD+translator pair may merit a level-2 header if it is separately programmed. Agreed; there's really no need for a gridded chart as there aren't different FM audio standards like there are video standards (and if we get into bitrate that's exclusively enthusiast information), and the subchannels which have analog translator simulcasts complicate things beyond belief to begin with. Wanted to raise a vandalism issue for the project's attention. On at least four separate occasions since October 2023, a user named Bigaouette8532 has edited KWFF, a radio station in Oklahoma, to falsify it as an all-bluegrass station branded as "99.7 Bluegrass FM" instead of its status as a classic country station branded as 99.7 The Wolf — but what verifies at its website is Wolf/classic country, not bluegrass. (I'm also listening to the livestream as I type this for extra verification, and am currently hearing the very classic-country and very not-bluegrass "Ode to Billie Joe".)

This has been reverted each time, twice by Wcquidditch and twice by yours truly; although I don't ordinarily pay attention to American radio stations as a rule due to my lack of deep knowledge on the subject of non-Canadian broadcasting, the two more recent attempts have also included fuckifying the Category:Country radio stations in the United States category to the redlinked Category:Bluegrass radio stations in the United States, thus getting it listed at Special:WantedCategories.

And, in fact, they've been so persistent that some things have gotten missed, such that even after I reverted to the most recent "clean" version there were still little bits of stray junk to clean up, including the falsifying of a citation title to "bluegrass" instead of "wolf", and a nonsense claim in the infobox that its callsign was chosen to "sound like banjo" even though any attempt to pronounce its callsign as a word obviously lands as "quiff" rather than "banjo".

I've restored everything I've been able to catch, and have placed a few weeks of extended confirmed protection on it to block the problem user from being able to edit it at all for the time being — but somebody with more knowledge about American radio than this canucklehead has may need to review it to ensure that I haven't missed anything, and obviously we don't want to leave the article protected any longer than we absolutely have to. The article may, further, need some extra watchlisters to keep an eye on it, if the very few watchlisters it currently has have missed the most recent problematic edits. I'd recommend requesting an WP:EDITFILTER. That could help prevent further issues on the page. The user's been blocked, so I've dropped the protection, but I've applied "pending changes" for a month just in case they try it again as an IP or under a new username.
