FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) er alheims samgonga fyri tjóðar fótbóltssambondini. Limasambondini eru úr mestsum øllum londum í heiminum. Føroyar gjørdist limur í FIFA 2. juli 1988.

Søga

Í mai 1904 hittust sjey tjóðir í París fyri at seta á stovn FIFA. Fyrstu limalondini vóru Belgia, Danmark, Frakland, Niðurlond, Spania, Sveis og Svøríki.[1]

Ongland, Skotland, Írland og Wales vóru ikki umboðað á fundinum, men Ongland gjørdist limur árið eftir (1905) og Skotland óg Wales fylgdu í 1910. Fyrstu limalondini uttanfyri Evropa vóru Suðurafrika í 1909/1910, Argentina í 1912 og Kili saman við USA í 1913.

Í dag er altjóða fótbóltssamgongan meginfelagið fyri tjóðar fótbóltssambond úr 211 londum.[2]

Høvuðssætið hjá FIFA er síðan 1932 í Zürich í Sveis. Núverandi FIFA-forseti síðan 2016 er Gianni Infantino.[3]
