Kyiv
Kyiv er høvuðsstaður í Ukreina. Hon er við ánna Dneprá, størstu á í Ukreina. Kiev hevur mangan verið álopin uttanífrá. Í 9. øld var hann miðdepil í einum handilsríki, ið víkingar høvdu bygt. Seinni tóku mongolar býin, og í 14. øld kom hann undir Pólska-litaviska ríkið. Í 17. øld tóku russar Kiev, og seinni vórðu Kiev limað inn í Sovjetsamveldið. Býurin fór ógvuliga í Øðrum heimsbardaga, men var bygdur uppaftur í 50- og 60-árunum og er nú týdningarmikil samferðslu-, mentanar- og útbúgvingarmiðdepil.
