Rúmdarkanningarfelagið NASA (stytting fyri "National Aeronautics and Space Administration") brúkar nógvar mió. dollarar um árið til fylgisveinar og rúmdarfør. Tað var m.a. rúmdarskipið Apollo 11 hjá NASA, sum í 1969 setti fyrsta mannin (Neil Armstrong) á mánan. Teir vóru eisini fyrstir at byggja rúmdarferjur, sum kunnu nýtast upp í saman. NASA hevur nógvar kanningarmiðstøðir ymsastaðni í USA.
