Á sunnara enda á Eysturoynni, eystanmegin Skálafjørðin, liggur bygdin Toftir. Toftir er markatalsbygd frá landnámstíðini, og t.d. er Rituvík niðursetubygd frá Toftum. Toftir umfatar í dag økið frá Gerðinum úti á Nesi og inn á Høganes. Tann fyrsta búsetingin á Toftum var: Millum áirnar: Fossánna og Hellánna, og hetta økið er framvegis heimrust.
