Al Barr, de son vrai nom Alexander Martin Barr, est le chanteur du groupe de punk celtique Dropkick Murphys. Il est né en 1968 à Hanover dans le New Hampshire. Il est aussi le membre fondateur du groupe de street punk / oi! The Bruisers.
Bien que ses compagnons de Dropkick Murphys soient tous de descendance irlandaise, Al Barr est de descendance écossaise. Al a une femme, Jess, et un garçon nommé Strummer en hommage à Joe Strummer de The Clash.
Al Barr est apparu sur le premier album du groupe Roger Miret and the Disasters, sur la chanson Screw You, mais aussi sur l'album My Riot sur la chanson Once were Warriors.
