Brevibacterium est un genre de bactéries Gram-positives de l'ordre des Micrococcales. Le préfixe « Brevi » signifie « court ». Ce sont des bactéries du sol ou associées à des microbiotes. Il s'agit du seul genre de la famille des Brevibacteriaceae.
