Gerard Boate (cité aussi comme Gérard de Boot, Bootius ou Botius[1]), né en 1604 à Gorinchem et mort en 1650 à Dublin, est un médecin néerlandais, auteur de Ireland's Natural History, publié après sa mort par Samuel Hartlib.

Éléments biographiques

Gerard Boate est médecin au service du roi Charles Ier d'Angleterre. Après la mort de celui-ci, en 1649, il est engagé comme médecin à l'hôpital de Dublin par Oliver Cromwell[2].
