Ian Gabriel est un réalisateur de cinéma et de publicités sud-africain basé au Cap, en Afrique du Sud[1],[2],[3].

Il a réalisé le film Forgiveness avec Arnold Vosloo, qui traite du thème du pardon dans l'Afrique du Sud post-apartheid [4]. Son film Four Corners de 2013 a été sélectionné comme candidature sud-africaine pour le meilleur film en langue étrangère aux 86e Oscars [5],[6],[7].

Sa fille ,Eva-Jane Willis (en), est une actrice sud-africaine-irlandaise[8]. Son fils, Gabe Gabriel, est acteur et scénariste. Ensemble, ils ont produit le film «Cours dans la famille».
