Kelly Bado, née vers 1986[1] en Côte d'Ivoire, est une autrice-compositrice-interprète ivoirienne et canadienne.

Biographie

Kelly Bado est issue d'une famille de Côte d'Ivoire. Elle vit pendant sa jeunesse au Maroc puis vient finir en 2007 ses études à Winnipeg (Manitoba), au Canada, avec sa sœur[2].

Elle remporte en 2013 le concours des « Découvertes franco-manitobaines » de la chanson[2]. En 2018, elle participe à l'émission La Voix, au Québec[2], puis en 2020 à l'émission Mix sonore.

Elle sort un premier album, Hey Terre, en 2020, puis un deuxième, Belles âmes, en 2025[2],[3],[4]. Elle remporte en 2025 le prix de l'artiste de l'année aux Western Canadian Music Awards (en)[5].

Son style particulier est un mélange d'influences : son « héritage africain, la chanson française et le gospel américain »[6].
