Lycinus est un genre d'araignées mygalomorphes de la famille des Pycnothelidae[1].

Distribution

Les espèces de ce genre se rencontrent au Chili, en Argentine et au Brésil[1].

Systématique et taxinomie

Ce genre a été décrit par Thorell en 1894 dans les Theraphosidae. Il est placé placé en synonymie avec Mygaloides dans les Nemesiidae par Raven en 1985[3], il est relevé de synonymie par Goloboff en 1995[4], il est placé placé dans les Pycnothelidae par Montes de Oca, Indicatti, Opatova, Almeida, Pérez-Miles et Bond en 2022[5].

Diplothelopsis[6] a été placé en synonymie par Montes de Oca, Indicatti, Opatova, Almeida, Pérez-Miles et Bond en 2022[5].

Parachubutia[7] a été placé en synonymie par Gerschman et Schiapelli en 1965[8].

Levina[9] a été placé en synonymie par Schiapelli et Gerschman en 1973[10].
