Le road bowling[1], littéralement en français : bowling sur route, ou Irish road bowling (bowling sur route irlandais), en irlandais : Ból an bhóthair, aussi appelé [long] bullets (longues boules), est un sport irlandais dans lequel les concurrents tentent de lancer une boule métallique (de 794 grammes) le long d'un parcours prédéterminé sur des routes de campagne en effectuant le moins de lancers possible[2]. Ce sport est originaire d'Irlande et se pratique principalement dans les comtés d'Armagh et de Cork. Le bowling sur route en Irlande est régi par l'association bénévole Irish Road Bowling Association (Ból Chumann na hÉireann)[3].

Un sport similaire, le Klootschieten (en), est pratiqué dans l'est des Pays-Bas et dans le nord de l'Allemagne (mais il existe des variantes)[4].
