Toponymie
Scandia est un nom de lieu notamment porté par :

- Scandia, ville américaine dans le Minnesota ;
- Scandia, hameau situé dans la province canadienne d'Alberta ;
- Scandea ou Scandia, ville et port antique de Cythère ;
- sur la planète Mars, outre la zone d'albédo, non strictement définie (nom donné en 1958, sans limites géographiques), trois objets portent le nom « Scandia », assorti d'un qualificatif de type géomorphologique : Scandia Tholi[1], Scandia Colles[2] et Scandia Cavi[3].
