UltraWide

UltraWide, ou Ultra-large en français, est un format d'image pour lequel le facteur de forme ou ratio est supérieur à 2. Il fait partie des formats écran large.

Définitions d'écran

Les définitions d'écran pouvant être rencontrées (la liste n'est pas exhaustive) :

  • Ultrawide 1080p ou UWFHD (UltraWide Full High Definition) : 2560 × 1080 (format 64/27)
  • Ultrawide 1440p ou UWQHD (UltraWide Quad High Definition) : 3440 x 1440 (format 43/18)
  • Ultrawide 2160p ou UWUHD (UltraWide Ultra High Définition) : 5040 x 2160 (format « panoramique » 21:9 (en))
  • Ultrawide 5K : 5120 × 2160 (format 64/27)

SuperWide

Lorsque le facteur de forme ou ratio est supérieur à 3, on parle de SuperWide ou Super-large en français (parfois "Super UltraWide"). En particulier, le préfixe "Dual" est utilisé pour le ratio 32:9, indiquant deux fois 16:9 côte-à-côte).

On retrouve notamment les définitions d'écran suivantes dans cette catégorie :

  • Superwide 1080p ou DFHD (Dual Full High Definition) : 3840 x 1080 (format 32:9, correspondant à deux fois la définition 1080p côte à côte)
  • Superwide 1440p ou DQHD (Dual Quad High Definition) : 5120 x 1440 (format 32:9)
  • Superwide 2160p ou DUHD (Dual Ultra High Definition) : 7680 x 2160 (format 32:9)
